Jam your foot on the tyre with as much force as possible..:shades:

Just close throttle la..It will slow down..Simple? :giddy:

but the valve sometimes will have problem. should i clutch in after i brake or hold both the clutch n brake? will it affect the valve as well?

when i drag my gear until high rpm and suddenly close throttle, my engine will sound like as if its choking like that. is this normal?

it does happen to my bike as well. :giddy:

pass 2B - 4th August 2008.

Kawasaki ZX KR150 - 08/08/2008 to 18/10/2008.

I dunno..Define chokin sound please..:giddy:

You should not clutch in when you brake..That way you get the most effective brakin..Only clutch in when you are about to come to a stop..Forget what you learn at drivin centre already? :giddy:

It seems like you need to get the valve checked/serviced..It shouldn;t have any problem if its workin the way it should..:shades:

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

brake and clutch does not affect the valve. valve is when rpm7 it will open. so when at traffic life u feel like no power or ur engine stalling, u have to clear valve. means let the rpm go till 7 before u change gear. my friends all call it "TIONG YOU" smthg like stuck oil lol.

correct me if i`m wrong =D

i also don't know how to explain. sounds like bike coughing. hahaha. but i usually don't straight away close throttle when i drag till high rpm. got a feeling it will spoil my engine. i'll like close throttle slightly then tap abit of brakes. then when rpm lower already then i'll close fully.

Did your valve closed back? I'm guessin it didn't..Blow a few times..It should get back to normal..:giddy:

It will not close back until you close back yourself, I can teach you tml, if you free to come down my place with a spanner.. Aljunied... PM me for more details..

is it ok if i blow it tml? and blow means the rpm go until? stationary blow can?

It wun go back normal... You can try... Mine jammed and my FC becomes 10km/L.. better check your petrol while you going out.. Dun learn from my past experiences... I've push my bike from Bedok to aljunied.. not knowing my petrol is dry... :(

lol.. blow open ur throttle sufficiently and close and open again.. it should do the trick.

Can try but most likely wun worked... Been there before... thus I know...

ok sure! thanks alot!!

close throttle, tap ur brakes, use engine brake if possible, then u slow down liao

Normally, brake abit first before close throttle else your engine will "damaged" ABIT... There's this possiblilty... and your swing arm bearing will be affected as well...

when i drag my gear until high rpm and suddenly close throttle, my engine will sound like as if its choking like that. is this normal?

yeah.. same as one of the forumers who said here.. define choking sound...

It wun spoilt but it's bit by bit.. "wear and tear" as some people said.. no need to wait til RPM low... just feel the speed and the sound and just close accordingly will do.. :D

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

If you have to use a spanner and close it back yourself..Only two things come to mind..Either it was assembled incorrectly or your valve is faulty..Time to get it replaced..:giddy:

Care to elaborate how it will affect the swingarm bearings? :giddy:

have asked few of the mechs before.. If the force is going forward and you just off it, the force will be reduced greatly with the effect of engine breaking.. Thus it will affect your swing arm bearing as you are sitting in the centre, especially someone with heavy weight like me.. keke...

& of cuz, use spanner to close it back means valve jammed... have to close it back first to reduced the FC become eat up more and etc... power-loss and etc... :D

Seem like I've missed out alot. :)

You're going to miss out again won't u..:giddy:

it works. thanks alot! btw, what is the actual way to slow down when i drag my gear till high speed?

Engine breaking + rear brake + front brake = Excellent stopping..:giddy:

when i drag my gear until high rpm and suddenly close throttle, my engine will sound like as if its choking like that. is this normal?

Since u wanna come to a stop, y do u still need to "close throttle slightly"?:giddy:
