Peepot, no need to change reed valve lah..

To make a Kawa to really perform, need not change much..

Cabb setting, need not port, a little adjustments here and there to the top head, correct calculation for ur sprockets, chain size, premixing, most important, Ram Air..

Engineers in Japan designed size 28 cabb for Kawa, why go and port? Change ur jettings lah..

Stock Kawa Races at PG have many regulations and still their bike can go top speed at 260km/h..

i must view ur bike brother !

wahhh... i don't even know how far I can go on full tank before hitting reserve... everytime I wanna keep count, my friend would topup petrol... scared to run on reserve :cheeky: the last time I checked it was below 200, but a friend of mine said that could be due to how (badly) we rode the first few times... :sweat:

It's not about the brand of the carb but the model.

I'm sorry but I'll just have to disagree with some things you have said...

1) Different reed valve petals behave differently. Depending on the use of the bike or the circuit type.

2) Ram-air works BUT only at high speeds. At 150mph (About 250km/h), it adds only 3BHP (20mb measurement) on a ZX9R. It's above those figures that make a difference.

3) 260km/h by a KRR is but a fairytale. Here are the reasons:-

a) On a track, acceleration matters. Lets assume a KRR can achieve 260km/h

with proper gearing, it wouldn't be wise to do as you would sacrifice acceleration

and neither the front or back of PG is long enough for you to hit that speed.

b) A full works factory race bike, Honda RS125, weighs only 62kg (Dry), pumps

out 45BHP (At the wheels) and can be geared to run to a maximum top speed of

224km/h. A total stock KRR weighs 124.5kg (Dry), pumps out 25BHP (At the

wheels) and lets not even talk about speed indicated on the meter. Without a

major replacement exercise, we cannot even get NEAR 80kg, let along 60+

territory.

hm.. chain size and spockets...

wat kind of combination is best for acceleration

and wat kind is best for top speed?

All Sifu,

Can advise which 2T is recommended? Currently Im using Esso 2T Gold fully syn. 1 liter can last for abt 5,000km. But quite expensive also. Can I down grade to semi syn? What's the consumption like? Is the motodiam selling 2T cheaper than petrol kiosk? If not I just drop by petrol kiosk to buy.

Im a newbie when come to bike servicing. Can you guys help to list down service interval for:

1. Engine Oil (Fully Synthetic) --> 8,000km (As told by mechanic)

2. Spark Plug --> 10,000km?

3. Air filter --> A sponge only. Just spray with air gun?

4. Carb --> Spray with air gun will do?

5. Chain and sprocket --> 40,000km?

6. Clutch plate --> 80,000km?

7. Anything else???

Nice... :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

FYI, As far as my user manual states, a stock RS125 weighs 71kg (dry) in stock trim. Pumps out 45bhp (crank). Actual dyno 41- 42bhp at the wheel.

Factory bikes/ motogp grade bikes should pull in excess of 50++bhp. 45bhp will leave you in the roost in any decent gp125 race. And in regards to weight...dunno about 62kg. Cos everything on this bike in stock trim is already super light, dunno how much is it poss to reduce. 62kg should still be poss though... CF everything, titanium everything, magnesium all the other left. Should be 62kg.

As for top speeds, 230kmph upwards also possible. Depends on gearing.

Cheers!!!~

ps: quite skeptical about 80kg on a krr..

Nah I'm just buggering nonsensical blibering there. Losing 40kg+ off may be impossible off a KRR but "what if" scenario permits a limitless budget, a differently alloy frame, cheesed parts, custom magnesium & titanium fabricated parts....

Reality check. Buy a Honda RS125!! There's still spare change left, I think.
