haha.. yeah... but i rather do more stuff of maintenance as NO MATTER HOW BIG your CC is.. You can onli limit yourself to 90KM/H... whahaha....

 

Singapore Rules.. Unless your bike bigger den your speed limit is diff... den I WILL get big bike.. Else forget it.. Same speed, same road.. Big Bikes... Kanna Fine faster as gear 2-3 reached 50km/h liaoz.. Soft throttle... :sian:

but the thing about big bikes is the power is there..even if only can use for short distance atleast u noe u have the capacity to disappear with the twist of ur wrist...but it is definitely not very practical nor cost effective in singapore...then again, ppl always give in to their wants isnt it??juz like some people say a phantom is enough for singapore roads..no need to go so fast...BUT WE KNOW BETTER. haha..

lolx.. you wanna DIY? If DIY, ask those Spray shops... say you wan THE BEST... I think Max onli $8 per can? Min 3 Cans of spray for 2 rims ma...

haha..yea..human nature never to be satisfied..any brands of the spray to recomend??coz the bike shop saythey can spray for me but i have to get the colour that i want and give it to them.. i'm gettimg gunmetal grey for the paintwork so i was thinking silver for the rims..so i have to go and buy by tml and pass it to the shop..he say 2 cans is enough le..

This is illegal under Singapore LTA regulations. In some countries, its a totally legal. Due to some reasons, LTA just wanna us to be boring stock.

Bro,

 

Based on my humble knowledge & experience, this might due to several factors collectively as follows:

 

1) Choked carburetor ( Dirt and impurities built up will affect combustion timing thus contributing to No Ignition )

2) Idling setting on carburetor too low ( This will also have direct effects after u throttle and then free wheel. A backlash occurred and it will stale your engine )

3) A faulty spark plug head / cable. Check these areas.

4) Fuel blockage due to impurities built up. Check your fuel line.

5) Timing and Air settings on your carburetor also can contribute to direct engine stale during free wheel

 

Bro, my bike's Spark plug change a few days later den difficult to start as compared to "just changed" that kind of feeling. It feels like the plug like "wet" (duno how to describe it oso.)

 

And abt the timing and air settings, how to tune it den its consider gd/smooth.

Maximum milleage on a Sports bike is possible by Sports Configuration standards only. Remember,its not Bajaj or Phantoms ah!

 

Okok.. allow me to share some tips for maximum millage on our KRR:

 

1) Firstly and significantly,ride your bike according to SPEED limit as stated by our LTA unless there is a need to go faster. Remember, the more faster ur bike goes, the faster the rate of fuel consumption.

 

2) Ensure that your tires are well within specs of air pressure. Regular check and topping up ur air pressure will ensure that u have a safe and regular fuel consumption.

 

3) Use a higher quality of spark plug as a good spark plug will generate a laser sharp burst which needs only a minimum fuel before ignition. A lower quality will need slightly more.

 

4) Use Full synthetic transmission oils and 2T also. Why? They provide the best lubrication yet gives the best free stroke of motions even under tense temperature and thinner oil vicosity. A semi or mineral base oils are loaded with thick vicosity that slows down your piston and mechanical movements.

 

5) Ride alone!! Riding with pillion or rack increased the load and thus u need more fuel to just achieve a speed check wherelse a single rider can do so comfortably!

 

6) Ensure brake pads does not rub the brake plates!! Service them!

 

7) Lastly, tune ur carburator air intake so that its more air than fuel!! pERFORMance drop but u have millage!

 

:thumb: giving really good advices man! =) its so all true! point to add in is to don't throttle happy by rushing ur throttle to get maximum acceleration. fuel used for sudden acceleration is ALOT compared to gentle throttling

bro..if u nt sure, go bike shop let them do..i just went for inspection..my bike also dunno can pass not..so go bike shp let dem do..i went to planet..ah chiong say sure pass one, if not pass den they will paisey..pass liao..they charged me 40, and inclusive of the charge that the inspection centre incurred so total cost is abt 60..

 

the shop tat quoted u 80 have they included the charge incurred from the inspection centre not? cuz the inspection centre will charge abt 20, for the usage of the brake-testing machine, IF i'm not mistaken..

I am capable of tuning carburetor and based on my humble experience,I would only consider gd/smooth if the throttle twist is spontenous to the engine roar and the exhaust output. If any of these 3 is lagging, then its another re tuning or other factors. I can teach u if u want to.

Its already on Singapore shores in 2001..Even 2000..Otherwise we wouldn't have KRs registered in those years..
