anyway the person at eunos or kembangan was definitely not me..i dunno my way around singapore yet..i dun even noe which expressway leads where..lol..i keep having my engine die on me sia..so scary..green light moving off engine die!!!lucky quite near pavement then can pedal pedal to safety..gosh..

btw... for my bike when cold day there will be smoke... but that much... but when on sunny day there is no smoke... or very very little smoke... myabe my 2t setting is the min... 2 month per bottle of 2T... 1 month travel around 2k....

when i bought it, aprilia calipers (damn good) were on it...but after sometime wear off... they ask me to change.. i took the Kawa stock $190...very poor braking..

hi guys and gals, been a while since i've checked up on this place.

 

anyway, i was involved in an accident on friday night. car hit me from behind. thankfully it wasn't at a very fast speed and i wasn't too badly injured.

 

my damage:

- grazed elbow and knee

- helmet cui like siao cos the driver accidentally drove over it when i took it off and placed it on the roadside after the accident.

- right side fairing crack, right front signal light completely gone, footrest also super cui, chainguard bent and contorted, handlebar alignment off.

 

driver's damage:

- few scratches on from bumper of car.

 

all the insurance proceedings have begun already la, so now i'll be without a bike for abt 2 weeks. anyway, the workshop that will do my repairs will only replace the accessories with stock ones. so aftermarket items like my racing footrest all that will be removed la. and apparently they'll only repaint the side of the fairing that was damaged as a result of the accident (ie: right side).

 

so because of this, i'm actually thinking of changing my paintwork completely la (for my rims as well cos white rims are a bad idea unless you got time to clean them after every ride). and i'm also thinking of getting a new racing footrest and maybe new headlights (HID or sth? i not sure what i can change to?) and possibly LED brakelights?

 

any suggestions? appreciate it guys and gals. stay safe.

 

p.s.: i know i shldn't really be thinking so much abt what i want to change on my bike so fast cos i just got into an accident. but i've been contemplating whether to change my paintwork etc or not for quite some time now and i guess now that my bike's gonna be fixed and all, might as well do it up nicely.

i heard from my friend that in the event if you got into an accident and it's the driver's fault, you can one shot do up EVERYTHING, which can be claimed from the driver.

 

My friend have done it and it is successful... he respray whole bike inclusive of the racing footrest and spray rim, and EVERYTHING...

engine keep dieing for a variety of reasons..lol..release clutch too fast la..stop in second gear also dunno la..all types of crap..haha..the other day i ride for abt 18km with choke on..also engine die..lol..that one took me some time to start the engine again..btw i realised that i have to wait for my bike to warm up b4 i rev the engine abit or else the engine will die when starting from cold..and theres alot of smoke when starting!!is it always like that??

 

try not to ride with choke on... i didn't hear any of my KR friend tried that, but one of my friend mentioned that it MIGHT damage your bike.. so try not to..

Warm up b4 rev.. You off your fuel right? Have to wait til fuel go in b4 rev.. else will engine die immediately...

Why? 2 year loan? Ride for 2 years ONLY? In NS? I guess you can start eatin grass and fill up your bike with water instead..Unless..

a part correct...u r able to change anything provided the surveyor said it can be changed,if ur accident included damage to any part,it will be replaced,but u have to always go to da workshop and check coz shops will like to chop people,surveyors say change new shop uses 2nd hand parts....im still waiting for my surveyor's result...once i get it den i 'kan' da shop...juz waiting for time....free changes of parts...free paintwork.....that is if u r claiming from their insurance....but if its ur own fault...better scrap....

battery can change and just say short ciruit while accident... and the rest you can just say accordingly..

My Recommendations

Tires:

TT900GP gd for distance, BT39 gd for cornering, TT900 not so lasting as TT900GP.

 

usually ppl put TT900 90/80 front, 90/80 rear for pick up.

110/70 or 120/80 rear for stability.

 

BT39 ppl usually put 90/80 front, 90/80 rear for pick up.

110/70 rear for better cornering. use 120/80 corner even more power.

 

metzeler ppl put 90/80 front, 130/80 rear, gd or not i dunno.

 

Pilot sporty front 90/80, rear 100/80, dry weather very gd, wet weather when lane splitting abit unstable.

Wears off super fast; I use one month need to change

Proven by phase_one & me.

 

Still can use other tires for rear like BT090, BT21, BT45, BT14, Sportec M1 or M3, Pirelli, Pilot Sport also can, depending on individual.

 

must often open valve so that to prevent it to be jam or clotted with carbon, also can determine whether it's functioning.

Gear one to six all can open valve, best is lower gear n drag.

Valve can be open anytime u wan, valve will not spoilt this way, so dun worry.

KR150 is a cheap and good transportation bike.

Can use any 2T, fully syn to be preferred or up to ur budget

 

Basic servicing like service carburetor every 6 months n yearly full servicing can keep the bike in gd running condition. Remember to change coolant when doing full servicing.

one whole yr nv service bike also can but if u got spare cash then go for my recommended servicing.

 

Change spark plug when faulty, spark plug can last at least 10000km.

Change EO at least once a year or when the oil indicator is low.

Change chain and sprocket at least once a year, can last more than a year if u clean and lube your chain periodically.

 

Other basic maintenance can be done periodically.

 

i nv even service anything for first 8 months when i got my bike, but got change EO.

Maximum milleage on a Sports bike is possible by Sports Configuration standards only. Remember,its not Bajaj or Phantoms ah!

 

Okok.. allow me to share some tips for maximum millage on our KRR:

 

1) Firstly and significantly,ride your bike according to SPEED limit as stated by our LTA unless there is a need to go faster. Remember, the more faster ur bike goes, the faster the rate of fuel consumption.

 

2) Ensure that your tires are well within specs of air pressure. Regular check and topping up ur air pressure will ensure that u have a safe and regular fuel consumption.

 

3) Use a higher quality of spark plug as a good spark plug will generate a laser sharp burst which needs only a minimum fuel before ignition. A lower quality will need slightly more.

 

4) Use Full synthetic transmission oils and 2T also. Why? They provide the best lubrication yet gives the best free stroke of motions even under tense temperature and thinner oil vicosity. A semi or mineral base oils are loaded with thick vicosity that slows down your piston and mechanical movements.

 

5) Ride alone!! Riding with pillion or rack increased the load and thus u need more fuel to just achieve a speed check wherelse a single rider can do so comfortably!

 

6) Ensure brake pads does not rub the brake plates!! Service them!

 

7) Lastly, tune ur carburator air intake so that its more air than fuel!! pERFORMance drop but u have millage!

 

i try ur tips stated above it really work. usually i went to work from sembawang to joochiat complex my fuel will last me 2 day den empty. now it been a week i haven't pump my bike and there still petrol in the tank. thank for the tips bro. appreciate it lots...THANK YOU AGAIN MR. VALARIE

Maybe u can try to buy it from JB ? There gt so mani shops surely gt sell de la. Easy to corner I nt so sure for me. But the grip is comfortable ~ haha How i know u gt smoke? I duno la, I just ask only.
