Just came back home with a heart-beating non-stop.. I was riding along PIE to Bedok when my bike suddenly break down..

Incidents: I heard sound from the bottom and I just suddenly lost control of the trottle. I quickly signal left and horn a few time(forgotton how many time I horned.. liao), and turn my bike to the road shoulder. Later found out the chain broke in half. Call the SOS, free tolling to the nearest carpark. Tomorrow will have to call the motorshop for tolling and servicing.

The conclusion is, it is really scaring. Wondering what if the chain jam on the wheel and I skip... woow landed in Hospt. now. And I was riding ard 100+.

Anyone know what the normal price for this fault/change?

After you have changed a new chain, do not forget to spend just a few minutes to inspect your chain before you move off everytime you are on your bike. If the physical condition is questionable, you would have arrested the problem and potentially save your life.

hmmm can tell me for a Krr how long must have FULL SERVICE one time ah??

For this bike.. issit only do FUll service only rite? in between other period no need to do anithing except for changeing engine oil rite?

5000km ... unless u are using cheapskate engine oil, then u must change ur oil more frequently..

Chain & spocket check

idling

brake and pad

clutch

spark plug

change engine oil

clean air filter

flush coolant

tyre thread & balancing check

battery check

wash carb n tuning

steering & wheel bearing

refill brake fluid

valve clearance

the TPs got new toy again.

Seems like a hand held portable laser digital cam

Just like our handhald movie cam.

Menaing, they dun have to set up tripod and equipment

and can move around ...

very very much more mobile

Thank guys for all the info.

I spent $20 for the tolling,$68 for chain and spocket. Plus addition repair on my RPM meter(cost $18) &speednometer($16) and a spark plug($6), 4T oil($18- castrol).

The two meter spoil(just the wire broken) long ago but lazy to repair thus take the opportunity to do once for all. Haha..

Overall, I think the price quite ok and the shop member are friendly and gd service(the boss still give mi a packet of soft drink sia) and will care to explain to u loh. Sometime it is good to go to a small shop as they will serve u fast & take their time to just for u. And bex it is a small shop, they treasure for their every customer. Frankly, I like this type of custmer service But of course with reasonable price too.

U all like to tour to sOoo far area/long distance sia. For mi, just going round Spore will make my left hands finger(crutch handling) cramp liao... haha old man liao or just lousy rider la.

Hey if anyone interested to just go round Spore for ride, plus drink(anything but not too much on alcoholic as later kanna ban from riding) & chit chat, please contact mi k. But just decent ride hor, mi not asking for racing wo.. hehe.. mi no standard to race yet la.

since your milege is so low ....your next date to do a full service will be the 1st 10000 km then the rest of the full service will be 20000 km . meaning to wash cab onli plus full service cos u dun need to wash your cab very often ... the rest will be once a yr ..like change coolant and change fork oil ! in fact it voice down to how u ride your bike ...

if you like to ride in a hard manner or u use it to ran abt for work like despatch maybe need to service more ! take good care of ur bike so that u will save more in major repair !!

dun forget to lube your chain frequently 3 days to 1 week depending how far u travel frequently !!
