drag from lower gear got difference meh.

you use your 6th gear, drag, never drag up to the highest rpm you can drag right?

my old sp, i dragged from 6-7k rpm.. it takes damn long to pick up speed after 150 also.. must kick down 1 gear, drag all the way.. then can..

anyway wana go so fast fer what lol

then when outside on the road normal riding.. i find it abit hard to keep the bike straight.. keep moving left and right by abit.. i asked my friend to sit closer to the me and the bike became much more easier to control..

but then my friend would be sitting between the front and back seat -.- so.. i am asking, how u all pillion ur friends on ur krr? got a gap in between? very newbie to pillioning...

eh... if u going to pillion "big size" ppl, best if u use 2 legs instead of 1 when moving off... it will b more stable.

my guess is maybe ur jetting not set properly tats y speed dropped. no power cut = no power cut lor... means ur bike can go all the way.

but to reach 210 & above, u need really gd modification inside out & tat will cause alot of $$$...

seriously no. when I bought my bike the silencer i was using was already the tiong one.

this is the 1st time i'm using an original one...and I'm not used to the reduced power.

and i always thought my tiong silencer was alright coz I've ridden the bike for nearly 2 years, and been eyeballed by TP and ROV officers alike, and they've never caught me or said anything if they pulled me over regarding the silencer.

hm

u ran out of luck lor

when unlucky means everything also doesnt go smoooth one marhz~

hey firespitter, know anything about counter-steering into a bend/corner?

As far as i know, we all counter-steer all the time without even knowing it.

I'm trying to learn to use counter-steering now, still can't get the hang of it.. Maybe u can share with me something if u know a few tricks about it.

thanks dude.

In reality, we do not counter steer "all the time". In fact, tell a newbie about counter steering in driving centres & you'll get MEGA crashes. We are taught (Rightfully or not) the "normal" steering... steer where you wanna go. At least this theory seems to work at driving centre speeds (That's why they don't teach you things like that in SSDC, it'll only confuse you).

Now back to reality. Think back about your first corner crashes. What went wrong? sh*t happens, we lose traction & what's the first thing we do? We counter steer (So that we can go the other way just like Mr SSDC instructor had taught us, right?) WE GO THE WRONG WAY and crashhhhhh..... why doesn't it work anymore? While I'm no guru to explain this in proper english or using some scientific chiamilogy explanation, my simple reasoning.... things happen the other way around when speed increases. Try a simple experiment. Travel on a deserted highway at minimum 60km/h, now try turning your handlebar GENTLY towards your left side and see what happens? You go right... Once you have gotten the kick of this, try SLOWLY & PROGRESSIVELY in corners applying this method of riding. Although I wouldn't say that this is the best way to ride round the corner, it is one of the commonly used methods in road riding or racing. Try out what comes best & natural for you.

The heaviest pillion rider I've ever had weighed a hefty 99kg.

Pick up like crap. Had to tighten my chain and check my tyre pressure after the trip.

The heavier your pillion is, the longer your braking distance will have to be. And try to make your braking and pick up as gradual as possible. You don't want head contact with your pillion

Keep your eyes ahead as you move off, open slightly more throttle if you feel unstable to straighten out.

As for distance of pillion to you, the closer the pillion is sitting to you, the more control you'll have. So if the pillion sits the furthest away, and sits upright, then the slightest shift of weight on his/her part will affect the bike.
