My new front tyres dunno is it the wax still there or what.. Seems damn light and wobbles at the slightest bump on the road.. My uncle said it's becos the tyre is pumped too full, I release some still the same..

haha

how u check yr pants w/ the small mirror on the bike? :faint:

maybe yr wheel bearings gone liao?

that's why the tyre wobble?

got some questions to ask u guys,

when u shift from gear 2 to 1 is there a thump sound?

and my kick start seems to be much harder compared to my frend's kr.

the part abt harder to kick

i remember some fella told me before it's abt the bike's compression or smth

forgot who was the fella who told me already liao thou

but at that time when i was told....higher to kick = better compression = better condition

so if the kickstart of the bike feels light when kicked...actually not so good

anyone can verify this myth of mine??

did the mech align your new tyres

or best have a lao jiao try your ride in car-park to trouble shoot the problems :cheeky:

My uncle (Been riding for 20 over years) was with me when the mech was changing the tyres.. We were watching the whole process, the mech just take out the sprocket then swap the tyres.. I didn't see anything that looks like aligning leh.. My uncle also never say anything.. How does aligning look like? The mech hop onto the bike and adjust?

shift your 2nd to 1st when approachin junction right

ya thats exactly it... does the thump have any negative effects?

juz curious how to know if timing chain is loose?

the thumping bad for the gears and chain as momentum is faster than the gear could handle

2 stroke like kips dont have timing chain they are use for cam shafts in 4 stroke

Dangerous in what way? Care to elaborate?

smaller size affects the handling, contact patch

down size will lead to flicky character ( nervous upright dives into corners )

just ride slowly u'll do just fine

partially true especially for 4-stroke kickers

but on norm circumstances technique plays important part

go with the flow not pit your strength against bull :help:

apparently the mech did not do wheel- balancing ( done on machine )

add small weigh on different pts on rims to counter for difference in tyres weight

when rolling

u mentioned that wobble at slight hump could mean the tyres not properly

inflated/installed ( supposed to hear 2 loud fart per tyre as mech pumped it up )

sorry no offence like your uncle ( 20 over years riding ) they have this mentality

that small bike fix tyre no need balancing

for my case i didnt do it as my tyre was changed in jb they didnt have the

machine and i was confident after days of riding in dry and wet handles well no

drama whatsoever :cheeky:

How to check the bearings ar?

according to what my friend did to my bike before

tilt the bike to left such that it balances on the ground w/ front wheel and the side stand only

rear wheel hanging in the air

then get a 2nd person to try to shake the rear wheel frm left to right

see how much it can move

if move alot = wheel bearings gone

my friend dint tell me alot is how much specifically thou.... :cheeky:
