hey guys how much does a set of front brake pads for rvf cost? mine gives a funny shuffling sound when i apply the front brake. and although using steel braided hose, the braking power still isnt good enough for me. i think its most probably the pads' problem.

 

my rs125 with stock brake lines and single caliper gives me better braking feel compared to rvf IMO. perhaps it comes with OEM brembo thus the brake feel and strength.

 

anyone can advice? thanks in advance.

i cant help but comment, if you think its the pads prob, why dont you check if its worn or not? especially if theres a 'funny shuffling sound' when you apply the brake?

 

the stock nissin calipers are more than enough to stop the rvf. why dont you change to a set of better pads (eg ebc hh, which costs arnd 100-150 a pair)? prolly you'll be amazed at how well the bike stops then ^^

feel like changing to HID. hehe. but scared later will cause alot of wiring problems.

I think will be best if u can get a bikeshop to check your brake calipers, lets say your brake pads are still relatively new and there's no warpage of your brake disks, could be a few factors - maybe the brake caliper pistons or working part of the calipers needs to be changed. The spacing between the brake pad - brake calipers - brake disks could also be a factor so would be best to get ur trusted bikeshop to take a look for u : ) Good Luck

Agreed. Was a fun 2 day trip there too, but my pictures were super crappy and the 800cc Superbike race was somewhat uneventful.

Onboard, I have braided hoses leading to the front.

 

As a reference IMO, your brakes should feel a little quite like your Aprilia, and it absolutely must give you good braking power.

No prob.Its all up to u but always remember to pump when ur tire is cold so will be more accurate. If u really wanna know more accurately buy a tire pressure gauge will cost u abt 20+ Dollars. I'm not studying anymore but not working also currently looking for a job
