Previous: Normal EO service at bikeshop

Now: Ah Pek's own blend of EO + X1R (Shiok to the max!, 3rd gear I rev till rpm13!) Hehehe... I still think most probably it's the clutch plates lah... Thought of doing it at UM for $120.

Before that, 3rd gear cannot be at 13000rpm?

On my spec1, 1st gear also can 13000rpm, just that I don't do that often though. I usually do it 2nd gear onwards.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

I mean if normal can lah but the engine will stress. If use x1r, 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear 13rpm you still feel the smoothness. Personal experience though

The grade i dunoe, but for sure the power diff is there! maybe you can ask him at non-vtec thread or PM him. Too thin? I dun think so lah... U checked your clutch plates? Must change EO too once open the cover?

I dunoe bro, never change before leh...

cuz i heard that the older bike need thicker oil to protect the engine. true?

um took out to check my clutch plates before when replacing the magnetic coil, then close back the cover with new gasket.

So, i dunno why still got "stone" sound when i clutch in at neutral?

i tink after i change to a thicker oil then i will know why liao.

Oil lamp light up means eo level too low ...VERY SERIOUS!..yes, no eo piston can jammed. Changed to good eo soon or top up at least.:sian:

ah pek, i just change EO, cannot be so fast bo liao ba. the oil lamp light up only for awhile when i experience jerking during open throttle to pick up speed. So i quickly close throttle, clutch in, downgear, slowly open throttle again, the oil lamp no longer light up and no jerking liao.

dunno isit my gear didn't engaged properly or power cutoff or piston loose?

It's what the oil lamp indicator is all about. No harm checking your eo level and don't take for granted just because eo has just been changed. May be the mech did not put in what was required. There were cases in the pst that mech put in only two bottles instead of 3 because they were talking and busy in between jobs too much.

Power cut-off???...how fast were you riding? Gear didn't enage properly can give eo lamp indictor 'alarm' meh?..never know that leh.:sian:

If all the above is not the case..then likely wiring problem or the oil sensor switch liao.

If this is a ONE TIME THING (the eo light coming on)...forget about it..its not aproblem then.

I'm looking for unbreakable levers for super 4. Seen the zeta ones on drz 400sm. Is it available for super4 and where can i get them?

Also just changed my eo from Maxima4 to OWS + oil filter and air filter. Now not as smooth as before.. any tips to improve the engine performance?

Try change your plugs to NGK ones. OWS is a very reputable company, but it's parts are manufactured in China.
