You will be safe by following sg law, all motorcycle headlights to be on when riding. Besides, why would you want to turn off something that keeps you visible and probably save your life?

Anybody knows where to get this type of IU bracket and how much? Thank you

talking about IU makes me angry! allow me to release my anger! :gun:

few months back i bought a wide handlebar with crossbar from ahboy, went to a popular motorshop to install.

however, the position of my IU is blocking the crossbar and preventing it from being secured properly. i told the mechanic, "If the IU is blocking it, please help me to shift the IU to some other position". the Mech never reply me. then he walk off, i thought go get a new IU bracket.

After a while he came back, and continued trying to force the crossbar into the place, and was using a hammer and knocking at my clamp. i ask him, why is he using a hammer to knock on my handlebar?? then he said "Your clamp the thread gone case already, now I cannot screw in the bolt. Don't worry I try my best to tighten for you. Next time if you change handlebar again, must change the whole clamp." in my mind i was :bouncefire:. but i suck up the anger and left cos whats done is done.

the mech, not proficient! and bad customer service!! and damage my bike!!!!

2nd time similar bad experience here. losing confidence in this shop:gun:

he's trying to tell me its spoilt before i come.

BUT! at first when he was removing my original handlebar, he never said anything. i never see him face any difficulty when removing.

when come to putting the new handlebar and fixing back the clamps and bolts, then the problem come. he took a long time trying to screw it in. then take hammer liao :faint:

just some possibilities, maybe when fixing back, handlebar not placed properly, or clamp slightly out of alignment, then he die die want to force in the bolt. resulting in it being stuck. then use hammer knock knock knock knock.

what i think is, even if he's right, maybe its really the clamp something wrong before i come, instead of trying to force in the bolt, at least tell me first la, or try some alternative la, maybe put lubricant, re-align clamp... what kind of staff will tell customers that their bike is damaged but never do anything to rectify it.... :faint::faint:

i didnt try re-threading it. later like what he said, take out again cannot put back already. for now just let it stay there

No use one lah. Either they will say already spoilt when you come in or give you some other crappy reasons and ask you to change other things and more things will come along. Last time I also kena before at shop and mech say already cracked... L L then went there to do a charity OE change saw the mech used all his milk drinking strength to tighten the oil filter. I quickly told him to need to use so much strength so he could stop, he further tighten it and said no problem. The next OE change came and when I tried changing myself as I always had, to my horror the original honda oil filter tool unable to unlock the jammed oil filter. In my heart i was cursing " what a idiot, used all those strength also jammed" So I had no choice but use more strength so I can open the filter, finally it moved and the tool flew into the OE catch container. I curse like mad and told myself nvr to go back to fix anything at the shop even they got any more promotion. Another bigger horror awaits me, the tool slipped and the filter nvr open at all, got a friend to drive to autobacs to get those chain tool but couldn't find. Sunday and no bikeshop opened. I L L poured back all the drained dirty OE into my engine. Went to visit a trusted bikeshop to do my OE change the following sat.. Told myself even if my bike broke down in front of that shop I also will get it tow back to my trusted bikeshop in Ubi to fix it. I learnt my lesson. Later tyre punctured problem leads to bearings and shaft replacement too.
