hi bros, any S4 gurus can help me out? My spec 1 morning start that time will make a loud.. sort of metal cranking sound.. after the bike hot already the sound goes away.. but its very worrying since its from the engine area..

Anyone knows what will happen if i never change cone bearings that needs to be changed? Cus i tink my cone bearing gone liao. If move off and corner, my handle bar will vibrate. And also wen move off, got this glass shattering soung coming frm the cone bearing area.

yes !! its quite loud.. funny thing is once hot won't have the "metal cranking" sound..

hmm cranking sound?not ticking sound?casue if it ticking sound it the timing chain.super4 is well know for this sound.

i suggest u go change it asap.it like riding a bike with a lose handlebar on it,a big NO NO to me.if am not wrong replace of cone bearing is quite cheap,below the $100.cant remember.

Guys, have you all encountered a tick tock sound only when turning right and some times moving off? Any idea what is wrong? I just changed the brake disc for the front, but i'm not sure if it is the cause.

oh yeah forgot to ask also when I throttle fast there seems to be a lag.. not an immediate response.. like throttle quickly then engine responds 1 sec. later but when throttle normally its ok

hey..i think i have this issue too! just wondering if the sensor you are referring to are the throttle positioning sensors?

hmm did u mod yur air box?casue the last time i had this lag issue is when i mod my airbox.just go balance your crab will do.am GUESSING your air/fuel mix is not correct.

 

airbox? as in airfilter izit? Yeah I changed to BMC air filter not long ago only.. perhaps will get it checked at planet motors by Ah Chong.. he seems to be an expert at troubleshooting.. thanks man !!

fork oil seal+dust cover for spec 3 is about $90.. i tink the fork oil seal only is about $40 for both sides...

[Q] My Spec 1 don't come with the owner's manual. Can someone share/point me to a copy? I need to read the electrical diagram. I've been using my friend's copy of Spec III instead for other non electrical info.

some qn to ask u guys, when i press my front brake, i feel like bouncing sometime, what wrong in it? and also i feel my front fork too soft, can i just change a higher grade of fork oil instead of changing the spring inside which cost alot more?

eh i tot can adjust the preload of the front fork?i think spec2 onward then got this function.

I also have this problem, but it only happens to me during a morning cold start. After warm up, then its back to normal. Experienced riders told me its something due to the carb tuning.

Does rear wheel bearings wear out faster than front wheel bearing?

i also got cold start problem in the morning, after warmed, back to normal. but one of the experienced rider told me is EO too thick (15W50) so the oil more difficult to heat up.. BTW how is the carb related to cold start? isit too lean in petrol or air?? i m using knn air fliter
