2. My front brakes don’t seem to be efficient. I have to squeeze the lever like ¾. Even after squeezing that much, the front brakes don’t seem to be effective. Just changed brake pads front and rear 2 days ago.

 

 

Erm brand new brake pads takes time to season.. u gt to keep on braking to season d pads den it will b effective. i jus chg mine too. so nt as effective.

 

however... if ur prob occurs even before d chg of pads, den mayb its due to worn out pads or like wat pyro13 said.. gt to do bleeding which cost abt $25.

 

if still same prob.. den perhaps gt to svc d caliper. but standby $$ hor cuz if they take out den c ur caliper piston wear n tear.. den it wont b cheap. that time i kena $20 per piston x 8 piston, on top of that plus $130 svc caliper so total $290.

There's nothing much you can do except change the whole ignition system like what bro pyro said.

 

Happen to me but my key chip spoilt and no spare so lan lan change the whole ignition system for $700 (2nd hand)

1) does d fan turn on wen its hot??

 

2) u might have to bleed ur brakes or u might just wanna change to steel braided hoses

1) ive sent to my mechanic and he said that my fan is working and such. he only said the problem lies with the hoses. there is some leakage and he said he had already tightened it. but somehow, i just dont trust him. haha. ill just have to wait and see

 

2)maybe ill go with bleeding the brakes.

before changing of pads, i don experience any difficulties. yeah, maybe i shud just brake more often to season it. anyway, this is my first changing of brake pads since i got my s4.=)))

juz a quick enquiry abt led strips installation on the front of the bike & underneath the tailboard is roughly how much b4 i make a formal enquiry on the bike shops ? forgive my noobishness, vtec1 tailboard can install led strips ? coz i can't remember seeing any on them except on vtec3 & above. pls advise, TIA.

if my overheat LED is on,

coolant at the right side feels hot,

can hear sound from the front even i off engine (might be coolant boiling, i cant be 100% thou)

 

Anyone know whats the problem?

today went to shop and check, pedal stiff mean no air inside the hose which is good, so change a better brake pad and now rear braking efficiency is alot better, can even lock rear wheel...

check ur reverse coolant tank got coolant there anot?

if yes, check ur radiator, when open the cap, u should see coolant near the surface, start engine and rev , see if coolant will suck inwards anot.

sometime is cap and filler neck faulty or crack lead to leakage.

hi...i just change my batt abt 2-3 wks ago...so like usual morning warm up bike den go to werk...n den park at werkplace till ard 12 am... den warm up bike again...den i off s i was not gonna make a move...so abt 45 minutes later, try to start my bike but cannot...so try push start...it took a long time b4 i could really start the bike...so aniine noes wat is the prob n how much if i to change anything...mine is vtec 1...thank u...

saw on some s4 the middle of their sloping tanks have few pieces of black horizontal strips attached. what is it called ? is it a cosmetic add ons or it's a stock item ?

 

if it's an ad ons I wud like to install & if so what's roughly the cost ?

Hi bros, lately my bike having slight problem to start. Need to press ignition switch 2-3 times then able to on engine. This happen intermittently Couldnt be battery as the needle turn once after i switch on. Could it be spark plug? Im using normal denso and mileage about 3K since i change them. Enlighten me please.

Which shop can service fork.. as my fork oil sealed leak.. can i just replace fork oil sealed and change fork oil?? ard how much?? coz i got ask one shop he sap $25 for fork oil sealed and change fork oil
