Just came back frm asphoon. They said a stock spec 2 cn go abt 18km/l. They checked up with boonsiew. Is it true?

18 is considered high oledi. My spec 2 on average is 24km/l. Think they say 18 to play safe. :cheeky:

Is there any dent or leak on ur header? Better bring to workshop for further checkup.

Dent is not a problem. My worry is maybe there are hairline fracture or crack that could result in loss of power. i don't know if welding is recommended but could try it if not then change of header is required.

The longer you wait to rectify the bigger the crack will be if you keep riding your ride. My two cents worth.

Guys i am riding a CB400 Spec 2, I recently have water leaking from the water/coolant pump. According to the mechanic, i need to change the whole pump since it comes together.

May i ask you guys, what is the procedure like to change a water pump.

And where is the lowest price i can go to change.

Below i have attach the photo of the leak. Please take a look. Thank you guys

Hi guys, i just bought spec 3 a mth ago. just a few qns.

1. I noticed that sometimes when i close throttle and open again on normal riding like if i wanna drop gear and move, the speedometer needle wont move. It will be at zero. My rpm can still move up but max is at 5 and it wont go any higher and my bike will have a like rpm max sound and struggling.

2. Issit normal that when you change gear, there is a loud sound *TIAK!* ? sounds like engine oil empty or issit i kicked the gear up too hard? but i tried kicking up gentle and still got the sound. Only from 4th to 5th gear no sound. smooth.

Running away from problems is a sure way of running into problems. - saw this quote on someone's t shirt

"Love is always patient and kind , It is never jealous,

Love is never boastful not conceded, It is never selfish, It does not take offence and it is not resentful,

Love takes no pleasure in other people sins but delights in the truth, It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes...." - A Walk To Remember

Hello guys,

I just snapped my Super 4 Spec II Throttle Cable and I was wondering how much does it cost to get it replaced? Is it cheaper to buy it from Ah Boy and get an onsite mechanic to help me fix it, or is it better to tow the bike to a shop to get it fixed?

Cheers!

Any bros here tried changing to a new seat that is more comfortable for long distance touring? Can share your reviews, price and address of shop that you did it at?

I have found shops overseas (online order) with comfort ergonomic seats, designed to relief pressure off your tail bone, and dual density foam (softer outer layer, firmer inner layer), with real breathable leather. All good stuff. But the shipping price is a shocker!! Cause probably the seat is so big, shipping ain't gonna be cheap!

Thanks for the help, if any bros know. Cheers.

I just changed mine recently.. Bought at ah boy and changed it myself.. Its as easy as changing bicycle's cable. Just remove the cable from clutch lever and install the new cable, then follow through and install the other end. Cheap cable $18 original(doubtful) cost $23. Towing to bikeshop would cost u at least $20 if im not wrong.. Gd luck:angel:

What u changed is clutch cable..he's talking about throttle cables and comes in a pair. Cost and workmanship to replaced cost about $66 in regular mototiam.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

Had a accident a few years back and realised that handlebar is crooked to the right. Meaning, wheel is pointing straight but handlebar(top triple cramp) is crooked to the right. Align a few times still no fix, then one day mechanic say right fork tube dented so changed new one. but still crooked a little bit to the right. anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

Will dent tube really affect handlebar alignment? my handlebar actually also a bit bent, thinking of changing. any idea how much a stock one cost?

thanks b4.
