On my mostly stock Spec 3, i can get 340km before reserve which translate to an FC of 23~km/l.

VTEC usually on (100 - 115kph) highways which makes up 70% of my journey and no pillion.

:btw: QUESTION: Adjustment of controls.

I wish to adjust the positioning of the control modules on the handlebars i.e. where the buttons are located (signal, light switches etc.). Can they be adjusted and how?

I took off the 2 screws that secures the control modules, and was not able to twist the module up or down in anyway.

Reason: I changed the angle of my handlebars, and thus wish to adjust the controls to a more optimal position. Clutch and brake handle, of course I was able to adjust. But the control modules doesn't seem to be able to turn - are they locked in position by a notch in the handlebars?

Thanks for anyone who can answer.

IIRC, theres a small tab that goes in a hole on the handlebar. You can file off the tab and adjust the position of the switches.

ah ic, no wonder i couldn't turn the switches even when i had the screws totally removed. If I file off the tab, will the switches slide next time? ...that's because I think those screws dont clamp very tightly - unlike the hex bolts on the clutch lever and brakes that clamp super tight.

[Q] guys roughly how much for both front disc brake and rear disc brake? And also the cost of the brake pads, I can hear metal to metal grind sound already from my rear disc brake. Help .

Why need to change disc brake? More likely your disc pad worn out that's why you hear the grinding sound.

Before this was okay? Mine is the same. What I did was to add a few washers at the bolt securing the rack at the top of the shocks to give more clearance between the rack and the shocks.

Eh. Mine only the silver part. Not on the canister. Mine is showa by the way. Dono of any difference in dimension between showa and ohlin, but you can try the washer first.

Bro, u can go f**k the mechanic. Obviously dumb ass mechanic. Suspension will move up and down, on the pivot - so obviously, this particular rack that he gave you is INCOMPATIBLE with your current set up. I also have a GIVI rack but my design is not as low as yours. It goes along the upper part of the side fairing, thus ensuring no problems with the suspension.

Demand an exchange to a compatible rack. There are many designs available, even within GIVI, to suit whatever set up you have.

Once you remove the tank. Is located at the front. You can see the plug cables quite clearly.

really d@mn pissed cause previously my old givi rack for my spec 1 can have enough clearance for my ohlins, now this rack is seriously "destroying" my pair of ohlins, zzz

Wah. Not so front la. Somewhere above the block. Just look for 4 cables going in line to the block.

Hi all.. Newbie here.. someone can help me out.. Servicing wat do u guys normally do for 5k n 10k??
Every 5k, i'd change eo,oil filter, spark plugs, top up/flush coolant. If u want to save money then 5k change eo and top up coolant only. 10k can do for my first recommendation.
