Which tire is recommended for SM?

 

1) Maxxis Gold Speed

2) Dunlop Alpha10

3) Dunlop D208

4) Any others?

 

Was told to look out for Dunlop D253... seems like a very good tire for dry.. not sure about the wet performance.

 

u have previously owned s4's and i tink u are quite familiar with brigestone bt090.. u can try it. hkl selling at 160. and u might want to change the tube as well. cost about 30 i tink.

 

also, if u have more bucks, change to michelin. 350 a pair. good in the wet also.

some stuffs alot of pple change are

 

1. case savers - to protect the stock engine case which is easily dented

2. smoothen the gear shfiter - the end of the gear shifter is quite sharp, can easily dent the stock engine casing

3. sliders - OEM sliders are crap, cant hold up to anything

4. regrease - most part of the bike are nt well greased, some nt greased at all

5. magnetic drain plug - get those with neorhydium magnet, better than stock, helps attracting the metal particles floating in your engine oil.

6. handlebar clamps - have cases of bike falling and the clamps gave way too, so better change to an aftermarket one.

 

thats all i can think of for now =)

on average stock should be abt 30km/L..

 

OTR price differs, range ard $13k..

damned i always get ~22km/L. never got any higher before.

just knew my fc last night in the middle of a flyover.

fortunately, there was no cars zooming around and petrol station was nearby.

turned on my reserve.

checked my meter.

it clocked 276km.

 

so its:

10 litres - 2 litre reserve = 8 litres main

8 litre = 276km

1 litre = 34.5km

 

is my calculation correct?

 

my bike is stock with a leovince slip on.

running in the hard way.

wah where u all get such good fc? i full tank max 156-171km only (not including reserve)

FC will be better after run in i supposed..

 

anyway the best way to check FC is to go straight after you turn on your reserve.. and see how much you had pumped into your tank.. i always pump until the petrol reaches the silver thing when you look into your tank..

abt 7 Litres only.. so reserve is 3L i supposed..
