you can try asking ard at GS or at shops..

IMO, price range to be abt $200-$300.. any price higher than that, might as well get the Aftermarket Brembo..

Buy from TT Store... the FCR39MX. All the instructions, adpaters, spare jets and needles come with it.

Beware of unscrupulous sellers who claim they can get you an FCR39. There are alot of FCR39s around.. but for different applications. Some are for ATVs even or other brands of bikes and you can fit it on. Whether they work efficiently throughout the throttle range from idle to wide open throttle.. that is the trick question.

Then begins your nightmare on tuning it.

This is the best advice I can give you... but its your money, your choice.

A true blue FCR39MX that is meant for the DRZ400SM should look like this....Note the bellmouth assembly (silver velocity stack) on the right of the carb (airbox side). That is used to smoothen the airflow from the airbox to the carb... without that... there is alot of turbulence and the fuel mixture at wide open throttle operations become erratic.

Yes, TT is the best place to shop for a FCR if you're buying new. Comes complete with all the kit needed to make it work. They have 50 new FCRs coming soon with 20 already pre-ordered. Left with 30 sets. Next shipment will be in Feb, so order fast if you want to get on the train :D

haha.. you narrowed my choices..

after conversion, TT's price is almost the same if buying brand new in SG..

it'll need to pay 7% GST right??

hi, any idea hw much is TT selling?

after conversion, add GST, shipping should be around SGD 950..

The darn thing is I'm riding a 250cc so I do not know whether the pressure varies from DRZ or not. Furthermore, my tire profile is only 140 and 110... :giddy:

I know of some guys who even go down to as low as 18 PSI for front and rear.

Since your bike is lighter... you could use that pressure.

i plugged my P.A.I.R in 1 minute today.

having the bracket fabricated at seng kwang so i thought try to experiment in the meantime.

tools needed: your hands, some WD40, a range of screws/ bolts.

1st: loosen grips on rubber hose ex P.A.I.R and wiggle the hose out, spray some WD40 between the hose and the metal tubing if it's too difficult before wiggling it out some more.

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/6194/pullhoseoutrq2.th.jpghttp://img512.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif

2nd: check which screw is appropriate for plugging the damned thing.

http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/9669/checkforscrewclearancecd8.th.jpghttp://img523.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif

3rd: after testing a handful of assorted screws and bolts, this one plugs well

http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/5918/screwplugsholewelljq7.th.jpghttp://img444.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif

4th: Put the screw in, head first into the rubber hose. DO NOT push it all the way in, just fit it in snugly so that the screw is barely in the hose.

http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/7746/putscrewintohoseheadfirwq9.th.jpghttp://img232.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif

5th: looks like this, the screw's threaded bolt is still sticking out

http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/1088/untilitlookslikethistheda2.th.jpghttp://img232.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif

now fit the hose back into the metal tubing. the screw's threaded bolt enters the tubing first then wiggle the hose around the tubing until it's where it was when you took it out. put the grip around the hose and it's done :)
