$15 per hour.

Some people will tell you PG or Nusajaya is cheaper.

But in the event of an unfortunate incident at the track...(touch wood) I'd rather be on Singapore soil where the ambulance service for me or my bike is not going to be an issue.

thx for the info. totally agree with u, wat's more it save all the hassle of crossing the border.

Tube.

Only tubeless rims available for DRZ400SM are Alipinas, Carraroza and Marchesinis. I think got another one but I forget the name.

That is like a freaking $300 plus to do that gel thing and you need to leave your bike for 5 hours or 4 days for some shop, depending what kit you use.

ryuta uses spoke rims, but he is on tubeless kit from sporting motor and its reduced 1.4kg as mentioned by him and better handling...

i just got my pair block off plate installed today. it was a pain in the a55 to get to the plate. lemme explain why, for easy access, the rad fan needs to be removed first. i loosened one of the nuts for the fan and the nut fell into the bike. couldn't find it and didn't know where it was so i took out the skid plate. no luck so f*ck that, don't know why but i removed the pair valve to look for the nut and it dropped out from god-knows-where. with that settled, i tried to remove the bottom nut for the fan that is nearest to the inside.

it was tightened to a point that no spanner can ease it without hitting or moving the exhaust & rad pipe. i had to remove the left rad to loosen it and get more working space to remove that nut. ok fan removed, unscrewed and removed the pair metal linkage to the seng kwang dude who fabbed a stainless steel block off plate in 20 minutes, costs $15. fixing everything back was ok but i grazed my knuckles and bled when i was working around the rad because of it's sharp fins. some fins were bent in a small area and looks like sh*t now :D

learnt something new today.

a. i am a 101% mechanical retard

b. don't work on an empty stomach, it frustrates you when you are too hungry to think and work out simple solutions.

c. if in doubt, stop, look, think before doing. don't kamikaze any mechanical work on your bike.

d. working on your own bike gives a sense of satisfaction when everything is back together and nothing is messed up too badly.

i had the pair disabled with a screw last week so the results are the same, less popping or "peep" sound from the stock exhaust on hard decel. used to be 2 peeep, now maybe 1 peeep and sometimes none. i don't feel any change in exhaust temp but maybe because my butt is too insensitive.

well, that's all folks
