hi there! i would like to ask is there any way to lower the seat for my drz as i would like to make my gf the sub-rider for my bike.. thanks!!!!!!!!

shave your seat or make ya suspension settings softer.

last option would be shorten ya suspension which is not really good cuz it'll affect the geometry & handling of the bike.

just ride the bike as normal lor:faint:

for fuel, u set the meter to zero wif full tank, ride for about 100km then go pump full tank, then divide ur mileage wif ur fuel pump n there is ur FC, km/L.

u meaning ur idling speed high? its around 1300-1500rpm, can adjust urself, no need go shop:dozed:

ride safe:cool:

thats a big no no...

air filter oil needs to be tacky so as to attract the dirt and particles..

i would recommend PJ1 air filter oil and air filter cleaner, you can get the combi at chiong aik desker rd.

otherwise u can go for the k&n set too, not too sure where selling though..

Though I don't quite like your nick (some may find it of poor taste but you are lucky no one has complained yet) I will still explain it to you.

The DRZ fuel tap is a vacumn operated fuel tap. Meaning fuel will not flow unless a vacumn shutoff valve is actuated by the low pressure created in the line that is connected to the fuel tap to the carb inlet manifold when the engine is running.

Shut the engine down and the low pressure disappears and the shutoff valve will be spring loaded close and stop fuel from flowing.

This vacumn operated valve works in either the ON or RES position.

When selected to the PRI position.. fuel will flow regardless if the engine is running or not. The vacumn operated valve is bypassed.

It is for you to prime a totally dry carb. eg one that has been taken off and serviced.

You can drain your fuel tank totally dry if you leave the selector in the PRI position.

If you should remove the tank for some reason or whatever... do not forget to connect the vacumn line from the carb to the tank fuel tap.. or else the fuel will not flow to the carb in the ON or RES position and the bike will idle like crap coz got an air leak at the carb.

thanks raptor for the splendid explanation.

can somebody reccomend me good chains and sprockets for drz400 sm?

price and where too thanks

I'm also not very pleased with your nick, but since you had asked a qns..

Afam

Driven

Supersprox

Vortex

are the different brands of spockets you can find..

most are widely available but may encounter no stock if yours is PI..

as for spockets, depending on your need.. I would recommend Driven and Supersprox.. Afam dun exactly last as they are made from aluminium..

to me, as long it's X-ring, brand doesnt matter for chain.. if in doubt, stick to DID, RK or EK..
