ok....seems pretty decent mileage for those with fcr.

 

next question, where can i go to install the fcr on my bike?

 

i have one piece of info from race incorp pte ltd saying they will fix the fcr 39mm carb on my bike for a price of 990 buckaroos.

 

hope to hear more suggestions and info.

another question. can dot 4 mix with dot 5.1??

 

went to change my front brake hose and the fella never top up to full...i still have one bottle of motul dot 5.1. and i was thinking of topping it up with the motul dot 5.1

read from your front lever reservoir cover, i think can use dot 5.1

 

990 for a new one? or 2nd hand? with all the neccessary mod such as the throttle cable...

 

gasgasx get a new pipe lar... FMF! 700 plus nia... can fit on the header can fit stock pipe...

i wont tell... but i will steal from you to keep it as a spare... sigh... sian.. i just met a XR4 rider at my place... he told me about the theft issues at my car park.. getting really worried.. can you imagine... the thief actually stole a S4 battery and cover back nicely for the owner.. the owner thought bike break down.. called tow truck... and the mechanic told him, "no battery how your bike start?" he

i understudy you lar... i trying to organize also... ladies and gentlemen.. this is probably a 1 time DRZ meet up... i'm a busy student lar.. on a quest to conquer 15 modules in 15 months.

get a full system, then get a F4 or F5 mid and rear, so can swap... if TP ask say, "my pipe stock pipe got people put McChicken and McNuggets and spoil, so I change to a cheaper alternative. then track day put on full yoshi sys.

 

alternatively, you can get a FMF full sys and use the stock mid and rear and have the powerbomb header... but that one got droop.

gasgasx had said race incorp charge about 990 for the full package. after that you might wanna consider putting on a JD kit and change the base gasket to an E-model one... but still your power is restricted by the stock pipe... put on an aftermarket one and you'll feel a lot a lot of difference.

 

but before that, you will wanna take out the PAIR sys to fit a fatter header. ohhh... and you can also change the CDI to the Vortex one for higher RPMs it is more suitable for your carb upgrade and then erm, you need to probably do the 3 inch x 3 inch air box mod. in which you cut a 3"x3" box on your air intake below your seat for more air. then do a rejetting... an optional upgrade is to put on a K&N air filter. then i think you bike is race ready... got anything else i missed out?

 

still got still got... then you might wanna look at your chain and sprocket set up find the most ideal for you, apparently, DRZSM is not really a high speed like hitting 200 km/h kind of bike due to the engine. so maybe you want faster pickup? and not forgetting, after doing all the power mod, please put on some protective stuff... like change the engine casing and put sliders and radiator guards and brace because you'll be so fast that maybe "touchwood" if you crash, the bike will be in pieces

remember to change to ti-valve springs if you intend to upgrade the CDI...and a set of hotcams for intake and exhaust will be sweet...

 

talking about gear ratios...can i know wat DRZ400SM is running? wat's the cruising speed at the expressway? i intend to change to a 14/42 combination when i get my motard wheels but im afraid that i'll lose too much low end...

 

ps: yesterday, my sprocket nut came loose!! engine oil leaking out like nobody business...ah biao help me tighten the nut liao but i read from TT that need to apply some kind of sealant called 'lock-tite' anybody heard or done this b4? pls advise...thks

Those are excellent pipes for SM! Another Italian pipe that's bloody LONG!
