hows the Fc consumption? full tank how many litres?

full tank 10 litres. Fuel consumption can range from 17km/l to 30km/l depending on how throttle-happy you are.

If bike keeps going at 110km/h and above, fuel consumption will be at 17km/l-19km/l

If maintain less than 109km/h and below as well as not treating every traffic light like a start for an ama supermoto race, it can be a good 25km/l-30km/l

Thats the consumption I get from my DRZ when I ride on PG track.

Mostly with throttle wide open.

Yes and no.

Yes, I miss the food and friends.

No, I don't miss the crowds and jam packed roads.

I love these kind of roads............

you can change the whole bike also, buy a ktm lar!

the amount of money u pump in for those mods you mentioned, will be the same amount u pay for a brand new KTM400EXC with a nice 2 digit number plate, motard wheelset and a beringer 4 pot caliper with a matching brembo master pump.

improve its pickup? change your sprockets. run a 13 teeth front sprocket with a 48 teeth rear sprocket. You can pop wheelie everytime you open your throttle. best if you can find a 55 teeth rear sprocket.

the same is applicable for a 2nd hand DRZ400SM.

Yes you are wrong. You have to register to view the public section of drz-sg.com. That is where you can ask all you want about the DRZ400 be it the SM or the E model or the S model.

As it is a specific make and model forum, there is a section meant for DRZ400 owners only. Thus it is so called "private". The "private" part is just an owners' section where owners benefit from certain privileges that drz-sg.com have to offer.

Get a ktm. there's no turning back when u've tried an orange. a DRZ is a DRZ, you can never get the satisfaction and desire you have when deep inside of you, you want a KTM.

Just set aside money for more shorter maintenance interval. other than that, KTM is a nice bike as well. There's not much for you to mod. Buy it, jet is right, set the suspensions and ride it.

No need to think about cams, cdi, valves, valves springs, big bore kit, flatslide carb, thinner base gasket etc etc.

Plus! KTM have higher resale value than a DRZ400SM. There's nothing wrong to go with a KTM for daily transport. I have friends who does that.

right! finally i hear something positive about riding a KTM. I've really heard enough of KTM being a race bike and cannot ride it as a daily ride. its not as if i use it for despatch or Mac'delivery. I just ride about 20Km a day. and on top of that, the bike will see the track quite often. its not as if im using it like a wave or RXZ (mostly commuting only).

Your post is something fresh and pleasant to read. thanks for clearing the doubts that has been imprinted in my mind from many negative comments.

Shorter maintaince manly consist of shorter oil change intervals right? mechanical parts not as if every 2mths - 3 mths need to replace right. I've researched in overseas forums, the parts are actually quite lasting. of cos can't compare to the DRZ. but the performance you get from the KTM, the maint cost is justified.

Thanks :thumb:
