Yeaps. That's correct.

But the RS pipe can hit higher revs than Arrow.

fibre said that the RS pipe can hit 13k rpm, but the Arrow tops out at 12k rpm. On lower gears, the Arrow can barely push past 12.5k rpm.

Its recommended that we install the RS stomach with the Arrow endcan.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

i would advice to learn after getting a polini kit..

ya should learn how to do a top end overhaul..

cos ya need to rebuild it every now and then after a certain mileage to keep it in good shape.. unless ya have a deep pocket..

the polini cylinder is not as reliable as our stock 1s as the stock has nicosil coating which is supposed to diamond hard..

but if ya wanna get the polini kit, get it from Ideal.. they are selling for 800$+ as compared to Mah selling it for 1000$..

alternatively, ya can try sending ya cylinder and barrel to this place to get them port, machine ya cylinder for optimum performance..

oh, btw the v-force 3 reed valve with cage is selling for 270$ at vector 1, excluding installation..

How about a mass order for Paddock stands to suit the RS125?

Can anyone clue me in on exactly how the Vforce reed valves and cage set help improve the performance of the RS125 and how much difference they make.

Hi, when you bought your bike, did it come with a manual? If not, download one from here; it should answer most of your questions. There are a few workshops you can bring your bike to, Ideal Motor Sport (10 Kaki Bukit Rd 1) being one of them. Change your gear oil every 1,000km or so. There are plenty of good oil brands (Motul, Mobil, etc) out there, but if you have no idea, drop lacrimosae a PM (personal message) cuz he sells the excellent range of Unil-Opal oils and fluids, including 2T.

i see.. anyway, another question... where is the gear oil located at??? and is there other "oils" i have to buy???

Count me in Chris; I've been wanting one for a while now.

Reed valves are vacuum-operated one-way valves that bring in air/fuel mixture from the carb into the combustion chamber. Vforce reeds valves and cages optimise this flow, which results in better throttle, torque and HP response across the rev range.

Since I got my bike with Vforce reed, 34mm carb and Arrow manifold already installed, I can't tell you what difference the Vforce makes by itself, but the package is a definite improvement over stock, especially at high rpms.

Muser> yeah I think you were lucky to buy your bike with all the mods done. Saves alot of time n hassles. Plus I still wanna know where to get that single seater tail unit. *DROOL*

On Sunday I cleaned all the grime off my engine and suspension etc. I can actually SEE things now. Picking up the carby later and will drop the bike at ideal this evening or tomorrow morning to get it all fitted. I'm wondering if I should do the Vforce reed modification at the same time. hmmm...

My bike's previous owner still hasn't gotten back to me on where he got the single seater but the moment he does I'll drop you a note. I'm still deciding on a paint job for mine.

I suggest doing the mods one at a time so you'll know just how the various parts of the equation contribute to the whole (something I wish I knew with more precision), but I can definitely understand your impatience, heheh.

I think it looks fine as is. :)

Well I also want to save time and number of trips to the shop for retuning. And I want to have as much power as possible when I finally make it to PG. It's gonna be a HUGE adjustment after my last session there on the Z1000. Like learning to ride all over again.

If your bike originally had a milo kong exhaust fitted, the only legal option is to specifically get the legal arrow system, which is only available from Biketech21. There are several different kinds of arrow exhaust systems for RS125s, but only one version is legal, and it's (predictably) the most expensive of the lot. Fitting an RS pipe to your Aprilia will also be illegal unless it came stock with an RS125 manufactured from '03 (if I remember right) onwards.
