Why would it sound stupid..? :?

I'm using my ride as daily transport to work and home plus occasional long rides to my liking. A few of the others too. But not as a despatch bike of course. Normal wear and tear will definitely occur. U just need to TLC this bike a bit more. So far it hasn't given me a lot of probs after my overhaul. Bike is running healthy too. What exactly are u enquiring abt this bike other than the above? I'll try answer if i can Mr Man Donut. :)

my bike is gona hit the 5000km mark on the odo soon. wana ask u guys what sort of servicing/checks should i be carrying out when i hit this mark. I've beendoing regular cleaning of valves every 1000km and washed the carb once at 3000km. Engine oil changed at 500km, 1000km and 3000km. So what else should i be doing at my next servicing when i hit the 5000km mark? For one, i know i have to get the brake pads tightened or maybe even bleed the brakes coz the brakes are much softer than it used to be now. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Also, I've been hearing this buzzing sound lately. Im really not sure what it is, can put a finger on it. Sound seems to be coming from the bottom of the tank ie the engine area. its nt the buzzing sound when the valve opens. I noe that sound. This sounds different. Its like the sound of a loose screw buzzing. Its reali hard to explain. I oso duno what to tell the mech. Any ideas anyone?

Hey mesa. Here's a page off the RS125 manual I have. At 5000km, you're looking at the second column. The numbers are action codes explained at the bottom of the page.

No problem bro. I consume a lot of info on this thread and thought I'd contribute whenever I can.

On a side note, hello to the 09 RS125 (black and red scheme) rider I saw at Lavender (Crawford St) early this morning (7.40am). Your Berik pants are freaking cool. I wonder if it was personified I saw.

Anyone here still hate slope/hill starts? I had zero problems with this at school, but still haven't got it down on my RS. It either splutters off slowly or ends up getting revved high but bogs down when the clutch engages/slips. I understand I'm meant to keep it in the friction zone and slowly feed in power, but it's def a lot harder to do on the RS. Can I put some of the blame on the RS's crappy low-end and my 81kgs of mass?
