Hi all Aprillians,

Ive read through alomost all of the thread since day one. but only really digested information for the last 100 pages. Ive just collected my RS125 09 model from mah motors on the 22/12/10 and im facing certain issues. I weigh an estimated 85-90 kg and thus would consider my little 125 cc bike to be a little on the unlucky side to have to pull such a huge person. however, im only managing to hit 71kmph tops on and my rpm can never go above 5. Is this normal? Its quite unsafe to actually ride at this speeds on the expressway and thus my reason to be concern, or is this normal? i have much to learn from all you expereinced riders and hope to have a chance to meet up with you lads.

quoted from Lacrimsoe, dont know how to do a proper quote.

"Bogging? Yeah it sputters because it's not meant to be ridden at such a low rpm. Ride it like a 2-stroke bike is meant to be ridden, and it'll be fine. Keep the revs above 7,000rpm. If you're running in, above 7k but below 9k rpm. It is the rpm and engine load that is critical, not the speed at which you travel.

If you don't flush that mineral oil out as soon as possible, you're going to be facing even more problems soon. Switch to synthetic, but change the oil after the first 200km, 500km, 1000km, and 2000km. You'll see the metal filings and leftover burrs from the manufacturing process get flushed out.

Have fun with your baby and hope to see you on our rides and DIY soon.

And don't forget to wear the proper gear when riding. It can mean the difference between ICU and outpatient treatment.

If you have to eat grass, it means you are spending beyond your means, and you probably should be ATGATT to prevent additional expenditure on medical expenses."

im unsure of how my run in should be like and thus would love some help from you brothers.

-regards Max.

wow. just by washing? water can go all the way to the plug? cos if its the starter motor den most prob the starter itself wont work rite. with crazy weather like now den it sucks to have open air carparks. cold start maybe? dont know if i'm being paranoid cos its starting to worry me alot. other than starting i've got nothing to worry abt though. hope it really just a minor "water" issue which a bike canvas can solve.

What this will do to your Aprilia RS125 engine is convert it to a Honda RS125. Only better looking on the outside.

With a price tag of 23000 USD, would make more sense to buy a cls 2 bike.anyway, the engine looks a bit high ain't it?

Wow, that's absolutely terrible, noob. Sounds like you bought a lemon.

My 2nd hand 4 year old RS126 starts on 1 single crank of the starter motor, emits no smoke, and doesn't require the choke nor throttle to start. Hope you didn't pay more than $1k for it.

Mine was in showroom condition and didn't cost more than $2k.

Hope you get it fixed soon.

Havent you heard? M*h is a well known fruit and vegetable shop in Singapore. Specialize in selling lemons and expert at chopping carrots.

Hey guys, flew off my '08 RS125 on PIE(Tuas) towards Bukit Batok while on the 3rd lane, bike sank into this huge pothole.

Anyone knows where I can order a side fairing and gear change lever at a lower price?

When the winds resist my impetus and sights become passing shadows. Every other sound is voided, all but the undeniable roar of my engine.

My physical vision recepts naught, but my mind is tranquil.

I see my inner soul.
