Yes. I have a 42L kappa topbox and was going ....ahem....quite fast. Think the wind is the cause i suppose... now i dun dare go beyond a certain speed oredy...

Hmmm ... I also was followed by another scooter was trailing and go very close to my side . Later I will review with my camera . See I can capture the gundu rider and will post it on you tube for others to be aware oh him .

Just manage to get the TOP box a GIVI v47 choose this it seems it can hold the load of 10kg , comes with back rest and back break lights . Hopefully will not have any resistance issues during faster speed .

Next to get stickers to cover the previous owner scratches on farring and the silver exhaust cover , any suggestion which shop is the best?

To remove Batt... start with 'minus'.

To add Batt... start with 'Plus'.

Simple, yah? You're correct.

Fuse blow might be due to other factors.

Hi All, what is the price range for full servicing for replacing roller, belt and clip? Anything that I miss out? First time doing servicing for scooter. Mileage close to 60k. Thanks in advance.

Belt, rollers and U clip should be around $230++.

Still need to change Engine Oil (2.2L) and transmission oil (0.320L), Oil Filter and spark plugs.

Air filter? Original about $40++.

Echo Crazy fr the thx. Will use that as a reference fr future sw maintenence.

I would also like to hear the opinion of fellow riders regarding some price comparision:

Spent $145 on rear diablo scoot (tyre n labour). Is this abt the market price now?

Saw a Unique price list on sw costing $288. Includes belt+clips etc

http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161209/9d09790bf9b1b68aec8990c1e6378d53.jpg

Referencing SW9000's post, an additional 50odd dollars fr the filter, EO etc sounds like a good deal to novice like me.

Any advice/opinion on these will be helpful.

Thx.

Diablo should be around $210-$230 a pair. Used to be $180 but base cost has increased in recently years.

For full service stated in the earlier post, the difference between shops are just $20-$30.

It's the Mech that you should consider.

Most would have gone to ACM because he is also a Maxi-Scooter rider.

He would actively provided advises if he spotted any issues with the bike.

There might be other Mechs like him elsewhere but not easy to find.

Get someone your trust and then stick with him.

Hi, today my bike won't start again same issue as the previous time. Pressed the start button with left lever pressed and there's only a click sound. Checked fuse continuity all OK, battery just replaced recently, side stand and red button on right side in correct position. After a while I tested horn and brake lights and decided to try my luck again and this time it started. I am puzzled. ..

If old bike:

1. Connector at the brake lever is dirty or faulty.

2. Starter switch faulty.

3. Check the Starter.

Happy New Year to all!

I'm planning to upgrade to SW400 from X8 that I have been riding for almost 8 years. Can I seek advice from the experts here what to look out for when purchasing this beauty? I'm intending to purchase directly from Boon Siew. Is it a good idea to get the top box directly from them also?

Thanks!

Hi fellow sw riders, I have the clock reset problem which it resets to 1.00 everytime I turn on ignition.

Checked the fuse but apparently not issues. Can recommend any workshop to check?

My silverwing year of manufacture is 2001. Can the hagon shocks for FJS400 2009 fit?

I ordered since Apr last year. They are finally here. Reason for the delay. Earthquake and their factory production is hitted. Boon Siew state that Dec 2016 is the last month for SW-T400 production.

If they could not fulfilled SW they would replace it with the new 750S. I am glad to be able to get the last new SG SW from Boon Siew:o
