just my 2 cents of thoughts

i just switch from r6 to 998 and the differences are:

- vtwins power are much smoother while the inlines are more powerful but comes in only at high rpms

- r6 is very light and agile but the 998 handles better in corners but takes more strength to flick it thru some corners

- vtwins feels a bit heavier and usually enters corners slower but its power is more predictable and so can open throttle earlier when exiting corners

lastly the riders matters most and for bikes definitely dollar for dollar jap bikes would be better than ducati, but if you could spent some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ a ducati can beat the inlines.

i have seen an angmo on a 916 sps doing low 1.40s during one of the track days and won and 916 is a 8 yrs old bike think abt it! i am sure many of the k6 or r1 has more hp than that bike.

Change your steering angle!... the bike will flick in easy... If that's not enough then increase your ride height a little.

Erm, I think it looks terrible too actually...

Why do you need stickers? The bike looks good in solid colors, you don't need stickers to break up the shape.

i,m getting the ferodo XR pads for old 2 pin calipers cost abt $41 USD per caliper

for the newer 4 pad calipers the 749 and 999 series its very expensive,

its abt 59 but from another distributor

My brakes are from the 998 too, but i think its from the 998R if I'm not wrong.

The stock Brembo brakes have much better feel compared to the EBC ones. Full braking power is probably the same (I don't have the guts to really brake that hard, but I'd trade brake feel over braking power anytime.

One important thing missing though, is the "Hiss" of the Brembo pads. :D

will opening of the brake fluid clutch fluid reservior and the brake fluid reservior to change the screws cause a fade of tension in the clutch?

cos now my duc's clutch is slack till half way then i can feel the tension, thus quite difficult to change gears...

gurus, please advice

I'm riding a 7 series, and mine is 15km/L Avg. Track will renegate the consumption to 13.5km/L Avg.

A ride in the heavy heavy rain today from Tuas 2nd link to LAB (on and off showers) and then a bit of rain on the journey back to Woodlands (after AMK no longer raining), I reach home with half a twin when I'm about to turn to my MSCP. I'm glad the new 374cc I have now managed to pull the heavy bike up to where it's rightful spot, instead of making the owner push the fella up

I realised the other plug will come alive once in a while, but will die on low rpm. I smell heavy fuel, so I decide against to idle the bike at it's bike slot. The whole journey to LAB I was riding 5k - 6k rpm, because the clip securing my chain connection point flew off, and I temporary wired locked it. Does low rev riding foul the plug? On the way back I ride normally, as I purchased the clip already and installed it myself. Else why would I go down to LAB today in the rain??? The last tuning was done at the dealership, and the bike has been a joy to ride, even today while clearing some carbon, which broked the locking wire, and I panicked, figuring I should pay LAB a visit asap to get the clip..... :cheeky: And somemore today holiday, no need ERP to go anywhere, kekeke.... :thumb:

Any such incidents? Or it's just a common foul plug that happened on a rainy day that clouds the simple problem  I remembered riding a few occasion on such heavy rain but no such problems. Even last track on Gd Friday, we all rode as a big group in the rain, remember? No such problems, until today.

I guess it's a bigger problem if I start the bike again tomorrow and both plugs are firing. Oh, I'm using Denso Iridium IXU27 btw.

Thanks for any inputs....Neo Electro, any comments? Airframe mech here....bogus about electrical stuffs :faint:

i usually gets more than 200km b4 the lights comes on (abt 16 km/ltr). mine is 998 but i think the fuel tank size should be the same 17 litres.

someone told me to be careful when the consumption is especially high. so do some chkup on your bike.

Hi,

Haven't heard from u in quite a while.

You have to "bleed" the hydraulic lines thoroughly to get rid of any air bubbles

that might have been introduced into the system.

Horizontal cylinder or vertical cylinder?

Could be water that might have seeped it's way into the plug connector and causing it not to fire?

Apply di-lectric grease to prevent water from hay-wiring when you replace the plug.

Riding low-RPMs shouldn't foul the plugs.
