Most Prob it should have those stuff.

Nope....S series does not come with Termi. But it's a high chance you will get one with it if you buy second hand because it's so wrong to ride a Duc without Termi.

 

Try http://www.ducati.com and click on 2006 models. They give very detailed descriptions on what's the feature of the bikes.

for me, buying not becoz of Casey S, was fancying dukes long time ago...the unusual technology and beauty of italino that impresses me....

Hey guys,

 

I suspected that my stalling issues @ idle was due to the bike running rich, so I decidedt to pull my spark plug to investigate and sure enough the plug was wet and sooted. The bike is currently set up with the ducati performance chip that came with the termignoni exhaust system but I am running the street legal exhaust at the moment. I do not have the stock chip and have no intention to source for one. What can a do to tune the fueling to improve the situation? Will adjusting the trimmer work?

 

All suggestions are welcome.

its better not to mingle around with the tuning part, this is not a carb engine.

 

the 3 choices is to

find the termi straight thru pipes

to find the ecu for stock pipes

or afterr market ecu like powercommander

Haha...after much fiddling with the trimmer the Duke is alive again. Took it for a spin and idles much better now and still runs like a bat out oh hell.

 

Lesson:

 

If you duke cannot idle smoothly while at the same time emmiting a strong smell of fuel from the exhaust, you are most probably running rich due to swapping the eprom to the ducati performance chip. Remove the spark plug to check the condition of the plug. If the plug is wet and sooted you are definately running rich. To remedy the problem, you can adjust the trimmer on the ECU. The trimmer will affect the fuelling across the whole throttle range, with most of the effect felt from idle to 3000 rpm and minimal effect thereafter.

If you're using the race filters, keep them very clean and lightly oiled, or else the bike will never idle or start easily.

Not all ECU has the trimmer. Cuz some of the later models would actually replace the whole ECU for the race cans.

Yup, indeed the 848 will be produce based on demands, but rumours has it that it will be display at the Milan International Bike Show, and quite some sources from dealerships in USA are pointing to yes. Anyways, I think I will hold my horses and probably get my Duc again only in 2009, so I have quite some time to save for whichever Duc I will be running in the wrong lines or bathing in the gravel traps with

It was rumoured to be launched at USD$13k machine price, around only USD$2k cheaper than the 1098. White is pretty, save me the effort to even spray the race fairings if I get one
