sigh...

jump started to no avail...

while trying to jump start the bike, i heard some shorting/bubbling/crackling sound coming from the batt area... thought the batt was gassing, but after further investigation, it was coming from a yellow coloured square component next to the batt...

i looked through the bike manual and based on its shape, its either...

1. Solenoid Valve Relay (Second closest to the batt)

2. Starter Contactor (Most likely as the schematic shows that its the closest to the batt)

3. Safety Relay

4. Low Beam Relay (Lights were working, so doubt its this)

Sending it to Kallang tomorrow... Hope I can get it out by the end of the day...

That's probably the main fuse. The holder is prone to melting due to heat from oxidized/poor contact.

A thing to know about the older ducati is that if it does not start after 3 cranks the possibility of it starting on the 4th crank is slim.

Instead check if petrol is going into the engine.

anyone here still riding a ducati 900 supersport? Today, I am finally a proud owner of this tamburini designed never-outdated-in-my-eyes motorycle. it would be nice to find another owner as i believe there are only a few left in Singapore.

oh well...

michael is still working on it... sigh... thought i can ride tonight...

by the time the bike got to the workshop it was afternoon already... sigh... towing took so long to come...

at 1830, the bike was still charging... mike said he'll check it out when the batt is fully charged...

oh... good news! i might be keeping the termis on the bike! mike has the chip! lol...

From then to now...

mike has more spares than we can imagine... his work shop may be small but it is packed with many good/still working spares.

finally got my bike back!

end up mike din have the termis/ducati performance chip... so he put on the stock pipes for me.. lol...

then when he was going tune the chip for the stock pipes, he opened up the ecu and voala! Ducati Perfomance chip starring us straight in the eye... lol... but still i thought i'd give the stock pipes a go... i think its better... lol... i dare to rev it up... lol... don't need to worry about LTA... lol...

oh... basically what happened was the plug from the alternator to the batt melted... so the bike wasn't charging... which according to mike was also the reason why the bike was so sluggish... changed the plug and charged up the batt and i was good to go... lol

From then to now...

prob sweating after the first major spin for a brand new bike

get it checked out, warranty should replace the headlight, no questions about it.
