Wow I saw an unusually large number of Ducatis heading down Orchard today... Wondering if there's any outing or something like that? They weren't travelling together though..

Guys, need some help here....

Anyone changed swingarm bearings for a Single swingarm Ducati???

Mine's shot.....need to roughly know the price. Found out today when I was putting on my tyres from 7.

For you guys' info, front wheel bearings, cheap....$40 a pair, most shop can do it.

Single Swingarm rear wheel bearing.....Power...... $400 plus, only Minerva has the special bearings so far. 1 day job.

The Swingarm bearings, heard from Micheal Chong more than a day needed IF bearings are also fitted on the engine mount. If it's only on the swing arm, not so bad.......

:sian: Some help please, need to estimate my Damage Inc..... o_O

Is it just the bearings or did you entire eccentric hub go up?

If its the eccentric, you can try to get one from ebay.

I've got spare cush drives and original rear sprockets if you need them.

Oh, the bearings in the eccentric hub is known as the rear wheel bearings. I changed that last yr Aug, and it's still good. My eccentric hub is good too....

I'm talking about the swingarm attachment/pivoting point bearings, where we have a shaftgoing throught the frame, the swingarm and the engine mount, and bolted on the other end. I never did this before, so I need to get an estimation.

If no one did it before and I have to be THE ONE  I'll still share the "joy" of the amount of $$$ I have to cough out for my loving bike. :cheeky:

By the way, is your rear sprocket 38T??? How much will you let it go for???

I guess the servicing interval is the same, but prices are different because the engines are different.

I'd reckon the 4 valve superbike engines would be more expensive to service.

For those who use the open-type clutch cover the cluch springs will rust starting soon after you put on new ones... the solution is to install Stainless steel clutch springs... interested parties please ask micheal @ kallang cycle

I think ur matt grey looks nice as it is.

Then again, I think u're "sick" of the color.

I would prefer black.

Anyway, the rims black definitely. A safe/classic color.

BTW, when kopi???

Hi, any one can enlighten?

What's the difference specwise between a 999R and 999S.

And erm... how much are the machines?

Where got timing belts $700 one?

I think at most $100 each only right? Mines $70 for a pair, the newer Monsters is $70 each. I'm not sure about the 4valve superbike engines.

KTKT > The new 2005 model 999 engine specs,

999 > 140hp (old 999R engine)

999S > 146hp (old 999R engine)

999R > 150hp (new engine, new valve angles)

Ducati usually passes the best engines down the range as newer engines come along. Soon, there will be a 2003 999R 140hp engined Monster I bet! replacing the now slightly ageing 996 engined S4R. Same goes to the sport tourers :thumb:

Hmm.... If I save up now, i will be able to afford the 2nd or 3rd generation road-worthy desmosedici....

However, the Testra looks so much nicer than the demosedici. :slurp:

At this rate, I'm gonna.....

Desmosedici? Wa.... :thumb:

Gear driven valves leh, I think the RPM limit is gonna be astronomical!

I havn't seen the design of the Desmosedici yet, but right now, I'm still in love with the original 999 design, I like it more than the new updated one!
