Hi DOC, Thanks for the reply, I like too your idea to meet at Minerva on a Sat afternoon, think must suggest to Mary get some ornage squash drinks on the thermo not very expensive and sen dthis thread to her, cos tiff was really trying to involve more Duke owners to feel that we all belong to a group , and the sooner we all feel we are part of a group , the interest to meet up becomes more intnse, have we not sometimes walk up to a group of bikers and if there is not dialogue etc,.... won't join for the next outing ,I am more than excited to help to organise such meetings .

BTW which Saturday DOC are you referring to , the dates don't seem to gel le ! Are you referring to Saturday 10 of December cos 11th is a Sunday , if that is the case I will forwrd this to Tiffany and see what can be done ,could sort of make it into a Christmas meeting, and if we all can contribute a small sum of say $10 maybe we get more than just ornage squash ha !!!! . Duke owners spread the word around and get more involved in this thread,

Really would like to see many Dukes together for a ride one of these days to somewhere nearby , Mersing or Desaru Sat morning ride done by Mid-day !!!

Why don't we have an informal organiser meet-up this coming Sat (early) afternn at Minerva to discuss about the next Duc meet-up. Volunteers that are keen to help out with organising can drop by for a chat or discussion & of coz we welcome all Duc Owners to chip in their ideas too! Drinks (non-alcoholic) on Minerva!

 

From the forum, can i say that those actively involve are:-

2. D.O.C

3. Smokeypipe

4. Espido1001

5. Obitrok

6. ktkt

7. Red Rocket

Thanks for the confirmation of the dates, about Sunday track day at PG , can't go cos will be using the Saturday 3rd Dec for a ride to malacca & back the same day in the evening , anyone want to join ?? Feel free, nice people !!!about 12 riders so far, meet up & move out 7am at GP 1 sat 3rd Dec, for this reason I am very sorry that I can't meet you guys in Minerva for the informal meet-up as proposed by Red Rocket , but I will definitely follow up on further developments , just post on this thread, at least we are getting a little more life & activity with our fingers for the time being ha!!

Meet Esso Gelang Patah at 6.45 A.M. --- MOVE OFF 7.00 A.M. SHARP, NO WAITING, rain or shine. By participating in the ride, all riders agree that the last rider in who is LATE will buy breakfast for the lot.( new comers excuse for this )

 

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR BIKE IS FUELLED AND GOOD TO GO BY 7.00 A.M.

 

PLEASE ALSO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE WHITE DEPARTURE CARD READY, AND RESERVISTS PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR RESPECTIVE COMMANDS.

 

It's the monsoon, so bring/wear raingear.

 

The Route

 

Stage 1 - Singapore to Benut via trunk roads - Dom leading

 

Breakfast at some coffeeshop just before hitting the highway

 

Stage 2 - Benut to Pagoh via North South Highway

 

Stage 3 - Pagoh into the trunk roads on to Resort

 

Richard (who has the repair kit, pump etc) and me will sweep at the back. Chris Cheong, Dom and the fast riders will co-ordinate to ensure correct route and that turn-offs are manned.

 

As we expect breakfast to be no earlier than 9.00 p.m,, I suggest that those who need to have a bite do so before the ride. There will be petrol and toilet stops along the way, except for the highway portion.
