Had a stupid minor stationary drop last night. Bad thing is that the kerb was high and I punctured my clutch cover when the bike fell on the right. Oil is seeping out. Looks like my bike's turn to be outta action till I get a replacement clutch cover/crank case.

Ok... We'll see what we want from this company and by end of jan decide if we want anything and we can do a mass order and share the shipping cost (by the ratio of the cost).

 

Anyway we'll wait till the last day of jan to see how much of our bonus is left or anybody from the forum wants any other thing(s)... 'till then we'll have to pray for a fatter ang pow.

(Use babel.altavisat to translate german to english)

 

I bought the aluminum basket with titanium inserts.

Replacable inserts so might be cost saving in the long-run.

Anyway, why I chose this over the Barnet version is that for this one, you can replace the inserts yourself. The ring is secured by torx screws whereas the Barnett one is rivetted.

Check if it'd be cheaper to get outta singapore... Don't know about yamahas but for ducs it differs little

I'm glad I changed my clutch cover to the SpeedyMoto one. Can see a spot where the impact actually bent the metal. Mind you the thing is solid billet aluminium, and feels four times as thick as the stock cover.

 

I've heard nightmare stories of stationary drops causing the clutch cover to cave in, breaking the clutch springs...
