Check if it'd be cheaper to get outta singapore... Don't know about yamahas but for ducs it differs little

Yeah. Thanks, but I think Yammy spares are cheap as it is already. Good thing about Dukes are that there're many pretty goodies on the Net available. Bad thing is that they could cost a bomb sometimes.

I'm glad I changed my clutch cover to the SpeedyMoto one. Can see a spot where the impact actually bent the metal. Mind you the thing is solid billet aluminium, and feels four times as thick as the stock cover.

I've heard nightmare stories of stationary drops causing the clutch cover to cave in, breaking the clutch springs...

Mine caved in slightly I guess. 'Cos I observed that the crack was caused by the cover actually denting in a bit. The clutch is also all weird. Where I adjusted it to disengage at the slightest pressure, I have to pull the clutch in almost all the way to the end now to shift. And I checked that the cable at the clutch end was unaffected. Guessing that the clutch cover must have caved in slightly. Sucky. :sian:

If you wanna get identical ones, gotta go back.

Otherwise, those colorful (but very soft) quick release fasterners with tabs will fit well to.

How much does the R1 clutch cover cost? Whoever needs a stock Ducati clutch cover, pressure plate and springs, I have one set lying around :thumb:

I have have my gear pedal changed and it cost me S$120/= (inclusive of labour). So expensive with all these spare parts:sweat:

Well, at least they are available. I'd rather pay slightly more for a spare part rather than wait afew months for it to arrive. :D

Well, the bike will be ready earliest Fri or Sat, but I'm guessing that with the coming holidays, it will realistically be ready only after Xmas.

Clutch cover from parts agent Auto Machinery retails at $140 w/o GST. Add to that the gasket, oil seals and pin bearing, and I'm looking at closer to 200. Add labor too. :sian:
