I got the "plier" type. Basically, it's just a very big plier with jaws to fit the circumference of the oil filter. Hardware shop for less than $20... Can't remember exactly how much.

Red Rocket was suggesting that, but I prefer the "socket" type as I do not wanna damage the wall of the new oil filter I am gonna install.

I'm using the Thailand oil filter "HifloFiltro", in a green box for my bike, hee hee....wait I "plier" that thing, suay suay the filter wall collasped :giddy:

But thanks anyways, ktkt....was expecting you to be the first to reply me on this as you are D.I.Y king leh!!! Hee hee....

Ooi...dun like that hor....if you really can see me, I'm really really wasting my time at PG leh, hee hee....my timing should be around yours or slower by a tad seconds, so maybe I can still keep a distance to prevent you from lapping me at least, before I decided to pit in lor...

Evil ah you....really wanna kill the last tiny weeny bit of my ego huh??? :gun: :cheeky:

But like your fighting spirit, and pls, fren, be careful hor....at your level now, it's a thin line between recovering the bike or an ugly incident because you are using your bike to the max. It's all about you already. Quite a few of us buddies are actually hinting you on this, so stay focused and dun let all the praise ruin all these good results you had achieved, okay??? Steady???

BTW, heard she-devil rebuilt her KR rear shock, maybe you could ask her for that maybe a good option for you....

Oh, just remember 29 Dec 05, I'm still pending as I gotta see if Amelia is discharging or not. If she is, I cannot fail my duty as a father not to be the one to bring her home....so let's see. Could backout at the very last moment.....put my name as I really wanna go PG too, since I'm on leave. But my daughters are my piority now.

Don't worry, Just use a cloth or something to put between the filter wall and the jaws. Don't think the wall will collapse. Pretty sturdy.

Or U can get the K&N oil filter. It has a socket head at the end so u can use a hex socket to tighten or loosen.

Don't tighten it too tight though.

Hi guys,

thinking of trying out some track action and looking to getting a leather suit first.

I'm abt 1.85m, abt 80kg (dense bone, skinny side), Waist abt 33/34, Inseam 34"

Was wondering any riders with the same spec as me can feedback what brand/model/size are they wearing?

Aiyah, dun say sorry leh, we are frens no matter what, with an age gap only, ha ha :cheeky:

Yeah, maybe you could save the money on 2A bike and patch your suit rather, ha ha.....it's Leather Arcade, at Bukit Timah Shopping center. Ask Arjunna, he should know.

Amber will be home tomorrow....so let's see how I get thru the first night with my baby's first home stay :giddy: :faint:

Great yr ahead for you too pal!!! I wanna go track even if I have kids!!! For fun, just for the thrill of it.

I'll see about the cloth method.....and the K&N I think is size 17mm....used it before, a bit dear IMHPOV. The stock Duc one is cheaper!!!

I normally dun tighten too much....but will start the engine and observed. If leak, then wrench a bit more. My fren's CBR1000RR, after an oil change, leaked EO the following evening. Caused by a bad filter seal....damn suay.

Rilly,

It's okay that you could not join us....I know the feeling. I was away from PG for 3 months!!!! :giddy:

Hope you join us soon next yr, that's if I'm able to go after all my tiredness. Not much of my wife, as she's quite okay as long as I take it easy.

Will invite all my buddies for my daughters' "Welcome Home" celebration.....full month today.

sorry guys...u all know how to refurbish worn CF? is there a HIGH TEMP resistant lacquer available to give the CF back it's glory day's shine? the CF's on the termis pipes so i don't think typical lacquer would hold up ... thanks !

When you say worn, does it mean the surface is ruined/scratched and the CF is exposed? U can "patch" it back using resin but i doubt can restore the glory day of shine.

What I do for the exhaust is to use Silicon spray on it. It'll shine.... but after sometime, it goes away. So apply them on after I wash my bike every 2 weeks.

Do it on the plastic parts also. :lovestruck:

yup there's quite bad scratches(on the non-exposed side tho) on the pipes n the shiny '"coat" on the CF has been deteriated by the UV rays over the yrs...(when u touch the pipes u can actualli feel the weave of the CF)...i was recommended to use "2K urethane" for a stronger , more resistant coat of shine/protection as relative to normal lacquer by the guys at ducatimonster.org ... i guess i hav to go to the hardwarestore to look for this now !

n yea i agree silicon spray works wonders on everything, abeit for a short while onli. thanks for yr input ktkt ! :cheer:
