your clutch, dont clutch in fully, kick once. see if works..

i used t hav this problem..

or, if you'r freewheeling at highspeed, it'd be hard or almost impossible t engage gear1.

No ler, i am talking about when starting off my bike. Quite often cannot kick to gear 1. But would try your method not to clutch in fully.

Yes, from neutral to gear 1.

So i double confirm with you, is to half clutch then kick right?

How come i got this problem? Something wrong with my bike?

Hi all, i have this problem with my TA200. There is always a constant 'tick' sound coming from the engine after the bike had warmed up. So i am wondering if it is due to the valve clearance as faulty cam chain tensioner will only have this sound at cold start.

How much will it cost to have the valve clearance checked or it could be due to other parts?

Slower better but will be fast when needed.

u might wanna check the drain screw 1st, as that is the one that can directly leak petrol out from the float bowl in ur carb...

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

hey hamster, where is the drain screw? have no idea. but i know the leak is from the hose itself. when it leaks, i saw the hose is slightly wet .

thanks :)

Hi Phellow Phantom Phreaks

I have seen on the net that there ia an uprated (sports) cam, chainset and tensioner available for the Phantom. I have spent several hours going around in circles trying to source one here in Thailand both on the net and in the local shops.

It apparently gives a much needed power boost by being more efficient on the inlet and exhaust strokes. Has anyone any information?

Appreciated

Hi, wanna know at what speed to do you enter gear 5? I am not saying anyone one is wrong but there are people who tell me that they change into gear 5 at around 60km and another one who change at 80km.

I know that we can listen to the sound of the engine to gauge when to change gear but its hard to describe sound so i think the easier way is to see the speed.

i enter gear 6 at 70-80km/hr...

enter gear 5 around 50km/hr..

I am on the case Kalyan and have some possible leads to e-mail. I will post the specs when I find them, my bike is a 2007 Fire Edition in grey and black, there are rumours that the cam was fitted as standard on the Fire, but I haven't managed to establish if that is fact or fiction.

I read about the existence of that "performance kit" on the Thaivisa forums.

I'd test that out in an instant :)

check if your piston ring is loose with any mech.

for myself, vibration only comes in aftr 120kph under a healty condition.

piston ring loosen vibration comes in at 90kph, on nd off.
