Just for everyones' sake.TP NO LONGER catches speeding and all those small stuff.now on is LTA doing all those stuff.TP only catch dangerous driving, reckless driving and drink driving.every other small thing is LTA catch.for tinted headlights if you want just stick tinted sticker over right headlight since it's your high beam hardly use.

Posted

Reason for TP no longer catching speeding is cos they dont want risk tp's life to chase.use laser snipeing camera easier for them.BUT TP STILL WILL/Can catch you for all those stuff I mention.just that it's no longer their duty.

Bro,TP primary duties are to ensure safe riding while LTA primary duties are to ensure that vehicles stick to standard or stock components unless authorized or approved by LTA to be used on the road. What u are going to do,is ILLEGAL. If the TP officer wish to hit his quota,he will summon you. However it is, its your call. :)

Watching this space.

Modification with the tail and such cosmetic stuff, is it illegal by law?

LTA comes with a single rule that is straight but can be bend with limitations. Look at my tail, its legal but the number plate is of wrong dimension. I have tail light, brake lights and signal lights. All other requirements are met with accordance to LTA.

Both R125 and R15 are very fun bikes to ride :D You won't regret getting either one of them .

R125 is a beautiful bike but lacks the power of R15 while R15 should be R125.

Whoa hold on with that thought bro; have you ever riden on or with a R125? If you were to compare between a KR and a R15, then I can accept cause you rode in both before right? In any case, its common knowledge that 2-stroker can beat a 4-stroker hands down anyday. But do refrain from passing opinions if you had not have any firsthand experience with them ya? :)

Bro,thank you for the advice. I am stating remarks base on their stated Cubic Centermeters only.If you think R125 is stronger than R15,then it shall be that way. I hope u get my intention. :)

Woah like getting fierce sia.but one thing I know for sure is.you take a stock r125 and a stock r15 the r15 will be faster cos of it's engine capacity. ;)

+like :p and i wish so lol.. does Yamaha really categorize r15 as sports bike ? i personally feel r125, r6, r1 are sports bike product line and r15 is more like a hybrid of sport and street which is perfect for day to day use with good FC.

Well.. i look into hong leong (os if that is the case), it was classified under 'commuting'. Whilst R6 and such are super sport bike..

You cant @ Yamaha global i guess. But Yamaha India do have a dedicated site for this bike. Now r15 already reach Latin America & Australia... getting more popular i guess. i heard its like 4000aud @ Aus.

Main difference between the r15 n r125 performance wise is different cuz of 2 components.

Cylinder bore size and ecu settings.

Comparing stock performance of both machines,

R15 (149.99cc) tops out at 145km/hr @ 10,300 rpm

R125 (124.99cc) tops out at 120km/hr @ 10,300 rpm

Tested on both bikes same road. Both through manual run in, same spark plug, same eo.

Juz to clear the air abt the performance.

in God we trust... all others pay CASH...

06 November 2010: YZF-R125 (Calista)

Guys, in terms of performances of both bikes r15 n r125, personally i think is the same. there is alot to think of. R15 maybe faster in stock conditions, but r15 tire size is smaller. you put the same tires on r15 as r125 the difference is not alot.

10 years ago, two stroke honda 125 nsr sp can win two stroke 150 sp hands down no matter what. all because the 125 made in japan uses a better CDI and parts. but still alot dunno why is so.. cos through calculation 150cc is always faster than 125cc.

in the end it all matters to how the bike is done up. till now, some r15 is faster, some r125 is faster. but why compare who fastest or have better performance. enjoy your ride and you will find good about ur own ride:)

The avg price is 8.3k.that includes everything.and a iu unit plus installation should be around $180.when you add those in all the shop about the same.and someone just got from excel I don't think the price is 7.6k.better double check to see if got any hidden cost.

i was the one who got it from excel, my advice don't get it there. better go for shop like production else ASP (i believe most of the brothers here got it from there?

These are what I call hard facts, truly in-depth and well-explained; and not just some random shoot-off-the mouth without actually knowing the actual on-the-road knowledge and experience of both bikes and merely based on Cubic Centimetres (not Centermetres).

Thanks Marcus and Kiji! :)
