however in the end, the same problem comes again...

Have you collect yours back yet? I'm requesting for a major full inspection on my bike. This is the fourth time I push in already. I'm getting fed up.

I am facing a problem here. My bike couldn't start up when I electric start it. When I push the button it sound very weak and then the meter shut off itself. What can be the cause of this? Now am awaiting tow service to come.

Brother,

Here are some possible factors and solutions to your issue

1) Drained battery - This happens and your batt is history. The bike wont start.

2) New battery - New battery does not mean good. Sometimes, they are faulty.

3) Rectifier - If the rectifier is damage,it will cos failure to start up

4) Fuse - Blown fuse??

5) Charging coil - A faulty charging coil will not charge yr battery thus making it grew weaker by the day and finally this happens.

What you can do if this happens - Do JUMPER START from another bike. Connect both Positive and Negative wires from a good bike to your battery. Have the good bike start up and running after connecting. Then u try to start your bike and this should work.

One more thing Chiaph, get a voltmeter. It helps to monitor ya battery life. If it reads below 10v before u press the ignition, its time to change battery. A healthy battery ready above 10.5v before depressing the ignition.

I fixed mine. So far these are the stats.

Since our batt are 12V, it should register at 13.3v at idle.

Mine is..

13.3v idle

13.8v engine started up(would eventually hit 14.1v)

with high beam on: 12.8v

with brake lights on: 13.4v

running on road: 14.1v (max)

w/o engine running, it replenish at around .3v per second.

Mine is based on a bike with pole light changed with 5 faced LED

:D

Thanks for the wonderful informations. I had try jump start and it doesn't work as well. I will be awaiting further updates from HLC Yamaha tomorrow to find out what's the problem.

Is it a must to replaced a new brand of same brand or I can get any brand from other bike shop? I got a replaced battery from unique motorsport. The old battery was thrown away by them.

Lim Ah Boy,Wing Yap Motor,Koon Motor have stock for voltmeters. Price differs from each shop however get those weather proof type. Cos a bit ex,maybe above $45 dollars but worth it. Been using since 2008,I have no regrets.Since u a member,u get cheaper.

U can always use other brands of battery. Last time, theres this high Amp battery sold at JB.Cost abt Singapore $65 dolars but its damn a good battery. I bought it in 2008 and only replaced it in late 2010.

Voltmeter are universal products,no need to be specifically for Yamaha.
