i had the exact same problem as u 2 months ago.. changed the fuel pump and everything will work as normal. the bike shop also change the battery for me first. before changing the fuel pump when i know my battery is 100% working. maybe cause before waiting for tow to come.. i keep cranking it.. thus battery weak by the time it's at the shop. so they thought battery goner till they changed and found out my pump spoiled.

btw, any1 know how often does a rectifier need to be changed or rather how do we know it's gonna spoil?? coz the technicians there told me i also need to change rectifier(they say not charging enuff thus battery weak) based on the top scenario.

PS: the fuel pump basically pump ur petrol into the carb for mixing air and fuel before going into the cylinder for combustion to get ur engine going, so if no fuel is gonna pump up.. then engine will ceased.

Changing from stock to smaller ones are cool for the outlook however your vision is limited. Think twice before u want to commit.

Fuel pump extracts fuel into your carburetor, assist in fuel injectors and ensuring the right amount of fuel flow.

New one is about $8k plus plus..and 2nd is 50% 50% in terms of engine performance. If this offers u a decent good bike,by all means!!

To check for rectifier is to use a voltmeter against the flow of current in the gadget. Its either you have current or not. No current means your bike cant start.

Good job la bro! Thin there is plenty of bro here that can assist you on that. Might as well we form one group and go down there to check that bike out. They did the same when I was going to get my bike, but kana 'pang sey' by my bike shop la :p

any gatherings soon?

Ai sey.. Even DP also change already XD

I wanna go for my maiden gathering with the bros(sis) here too :)

bro, did you go into reserve b4 pumping pertol frequently?

Hey! Ive checked out this on one of my reservist course about generator. Those huge one that resemble a normal car/ bike engine.

Apparently there is a compartment, the carburetor, cannot have air bubble in there and thus was needed to be constantly filled with fuel while in was not in used. There is supposed to be a pump that suck the air out so that there will be no bubble at all to provided maximum efficiency. But then I thought that our bike is FI. So shouldn't have that problem I thought? Since when we start our bike, the bike will vibrate a little right? I guess it was that it was sucking in some petrol or something like that thus maybe the above scenario happens.

Hmmm.... any takers on that?

Errr... run in? :/

If not.... lube your chain often, clean your air scoop, blow your radiator grill occasionally for sands, dirt, etc... Check your tyre pressure (cause mine comes front 230 and rear 250.. stock condition. I was stunned when I wanna pump air at the kiosk)... Thats about something there.

Hehe! I shy la! Just something that I found out only la.. more to add on.

Air scoop is the opening on the side where your fairing is.

Radiator grill is at the front behind your front suspension fork.
