kekeke! im a FBF plater..googled for information however too technical..its so much better to just ask the pros here since it seems that everyone seems to know more than just riding in here =))

Small question: When people talk about bikes they says its the cheapest transport all around ,however why do i have feel that public transport is much more cheaper ever since i need to refuel 11l every 2 days?

I believe you riding a r15? How did u even manage to pump 11l in the tank?

Thats because small machine like grass cutter, chain saw and those alike all use 2stroke engine to generate those force. 2stroke in general are compact and easily derive to produce power and the power produce is raw enough to be use in small dosage. Like those things that Ive mentioned, those are 50cc atleast.

One general way to tell the different (not power) on the outlook is...

All 2stroke bike have a exhuast that resemble a "belly".

4stroke is not stroke times 2 times the power but it has a "cap" alike thing on the engine and generally produces lesser power due to increase in mechanical process.

So meaning you've got yourself a 2nd bike then? Since I believe that the last few numbers of FBG will be 3xxx onwards and that yours by right +- 2 weeks would be atleast FBG2xxx range.

Public transport is given to be cheaper. That is a fact. Because the things you compare may be an apple to orange thing.

Inevitably someone can argue that public transport is safer. Its a truth.

Some can say that personal transport is faster. It never ends. :):)

So stand alone @ just cost. Public is cheap. No doubt.

But do you consider time as a cost too? Just something to think over :)

Safety is a cost too you know? So the comparision never end.

To top it up from me, its the personal choice that I go for and making every moment when I'm on debbie counts :)

2 days with full 11L can allow you to travel all the way up to 440km!!!!!!

How many places you have to go to?

What is the mileage clocked? I seriously suspect some CB stealing your petrol.

or

You had been watering the road with petrol.

thks for all reply... i top up v-power racing...apparently its not the case of expensive is better..

daily mileage i had yet to calculate. Places i go depends.

My daily routine is Boon Lay Ave-Tuas south ave 3 end-Middle Rd-Woodlands-(Bedok)sometimes-Boon Lay Ave. I have no idea if someone is sucking my fuel, however if anyone can show me how to see if someone can siphon my fuel ..do let me know .. i will be glad to look for you in Mainland singapore. =)

First of all.. wohOoO~ You beat one guy I knew who rides from yishun to tuas almost every day. And he didnt clock like you do. And I already thought it was bad.

Anyway...

Boon lay avenue to Tuas South Avenue 3 = 18.1KM

Tuas south avenue 3 to Middle road = 33.2KM

Middle road to woodlands (mrt) = 24.6km

Woodlands to bedok(interchange) = 27.8KM

Bedok to Boon lay Ave 3 = 26KM

All in all = 129.6KM in a day

Lets put a standard deviation of 15KM (average town size) plus a little allowance for idling and running cost + getting lost. (3KM)

It should be 150KM a day (round up generously)

R15 tank = 13L (11L for usage maybe)

11L * 35KM/l = 385km easily.

The way you are using can last you atleast 2days with 85KM (2.5L) to spare!!!

That still does not suffice a R15 to have 11L for 2 days. :):)

And adding on to the fact, premium fuel supposedly somehow or another. I realised I can achieve atleast 43KM/l with modded exhuast, increased air intake, adjusted fuel to air intake ratio, HID lamp and increased tyre on 100/80 front and 110/80 back

with these stock

- gear ratio

- chain

- sprocket

and most of the time riding in the hot sun! :(

But you said you paid abt $35 for the petrol each time right? how is it possible? If you say $35 for 11l then it will be $3.1 up down for each litre lo.
