    • YES, you racer-wannabe! Go get yourself a 600cc first!
    • NO, nothing wrong what...

After taking my 929 to the track a few weeks ago after upgrading from my RS125 I can safely say that small bikes are HEAPS more fun on the track regardless of whether or not they/you are fast or slow.

My ride for 2012 - Yamaha WR250X 2008

Previous rides:

ROAD/FUN: Honda Sonic, VTR250, Kawa Z1000 & Kawa KSR110, Suzuki Savage

SPORT: Kawa ZXR400, Suzuki SV650, Honda CBR600F3 & CBR929RR, Aprilia RS125 & RS250,

DIRT: Honda XR200 & XR600L, DRZ-400SM, DRZ-400-S, GasGas EC200, KTM 200 EXC & 250EXC-F, Tricker

The track is a great equalizer that allows everyone to their full potential... when all else is equal..only then does a big bike power make the difference...

To all those people who like to play on the streets... it's too risky... take it to the track...

That's my post below wrt shedevil21 on her KR150(! "P" plate some more) yesterday at PG...

Ohhh.. she's FAST!!! and damn good body language thru the turns.... wish I could ride like her... as mentioned, many of us with too much road experience (read that as crash and burn) have too many pre-conceived notions about riding posture/etc/etc... so while we are setting up our turns (OK, so maybe I speak for myself o_O )... she just roosts right in... damn... even with more straight line speed (I have 750 SRAD)... couldn't catch her man!!!.. awesome... if I had stayed on the track any longer, she would have overlapped me...

Ouch!!!

I love the track... safe and when you are good, it shows....

OK... so I gotta go to PG another 198 times..... now to re-boot the brain after deleting all files....

way to go Raptor and SheDevil21 ... wooohooo

I'd prefer your 929 over your RS125 anytime......

maybe you havent got used to riding the 929 yet, thats why.

Sadly... the equalising is far too fast for my liking. I remember it was only a few short months ago.. I was teaching how to do the "No brakes drill" and the lining to follow for PG. I remember bitching at her about the need to clip the apex for more speed and the need to slide off for more cornering clearance... and now this at Turn 8 of PG....

Now, I hand over this task to Shah of Biketech21. I cannot mentor her anymore. She now brakes later and faster into Turn 1, faster than I dare to.

My days as her mentor are numbered. :faint:

I can always teach you what I know, the same things I taught shedevil21. Like what throttle said... in the end it will be your will and desire that determines your progression rate and how far you go.

shedevil21 posseses very strong willpower and self-discipline, which makes her very easy to teach.

By the way.... everybody will and should start slow. Everybody should ride within their own capability. Having a fast or bigger bike does not automatically make you a fast rider. It is a mind thing.

I know of those who started fast but now dare not go track anymore due to an unscheduled meeting with the tyre walls.

With the right coaching... it will only be a matter of time you should be kneesliding almost all the corners in PG, as it is a very tight and technical track. But please make sure the tyres on your bike are fresh. She is able to go that low in the corners simply because her tyres are holding up. Older tyres tend to age harden and lose their grip easily.

Allow me to sidetrack a bit on this track issue, please.

We need to see more 2B riders on PG track. It is better to learn how to ride fast and know the limits of your own personal riding capability there, than on the public roads of Singapore.

Takes too long to get that licence and it ain't worth it just to lose it overnight due to dangerous riding and/or speeding, worst still is losing your life along with it.

Racing with others on Singapore streets does not prove that you are a legend, fierce or brave.... it only proves that you are totally inconsiderate of other road users and a complete legendary bloody idiot.

Want to show others you are a superfast rider and a Rossi protege?? Bring it to the track where such acts belong.
