How to check TPS thru dashboard?

 

Actually the dashboard can be useful to self check stuffs like TPS,fan working,batt voltage,CO level adjust(increase or decrease fuel to yr EFI)

 

Procedure

To activate modes "CO" and "DIAG":

Press together the "SELECT" and "RESET" keys, and turn the ignition switch on "ON".

(NOTE: It takes ~eight seconds after turning on the ignition switch - until "DIAG" appears on the dash display.)

Push "SELECT" in order to toggle the display between the "DIAG" mode to the "CO" mode, and vice versa.

 

In "DIAG" mode 1 is TPS check,reading should be at 15-17 (when throttle is closed),slowly open your throttle fully and hold,reading should be 97-101.Any reading not within the range,(More or lesser means TPS gt problems)

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

RPM should be 1.1K to 1.2K range. The idling adjuster is located at the bike right hand side just below the fuel tank(or is it left?).Its a black knob,u can miss it.Clockwise to increase,anti to decrease.

Oh btw I finally got my steel braided hose. Got it, not had it done. Doing it elsewhere. $140 but I still think it's a bit of a rip off.

yup...nice chap...

but felt sorry for him being left...i can see he abit sad lah...not only his bike cocked up...but now being alone...he have to stop over at Penang for another try to service his bike...till there,i don't know how he is doing....hope his bike and everythg turns out fine...

 

yup,he did mentioned that one black TDM with 2 digit no plate join the gang...i didnt noe it was you till i saw your photos at the TDM_yahoo sgp...thanks for contributing...

we were told that few guys wil stay ter, tat y we leave.. In the end saw those suppose to stay on the highway, we thought ****, John all alone at hatyai.. feel paisay oso....

hehehe ya i m ridin the 2 digit TDM...

BTW AJ, I wanna check with you, heard from long beach IAN saying that u do ur windshield at JB.. wonder where the place.. cos I wanna do one for my baja:)

Tiko just woke me up this morning sms me about this...most of us who use the little windshield are basically from LC kia,KR etc...so we see what shield they have,see which suited best and buy lor...usually about RM12-15....

 

my XR fairing is fabricated job...more complicated...i bought the LC kia shield to fit on my Domi.

Btw Ans, my Pelican Fins kena melted by my exhaust fumes :faint: on the left side the right side was ok, the box inside and outside is ok nothing happen just the damn fins gt melted and i dunno how the hell it happen:giddy:

bro...maybe one sunday join me lah to JB and ride your baja...then you see the shop,check out what shield you wan...you want to do something like the rally shield issit?cant remember the model.last time Chan from M-Technik did himself a very cool shield...but he said it cracks after a period of time.so he did not recommend on the baja lamp.

Damien, dang man.. See if u can get a warranty claim if u really wanna to..

 

My right box was also close (1 inch from touching) but since I got my support bar up, I don't quite need to worry anymore..

 

The thing I am worrying now is to find the time to fabricate another piece of support for that bar.. Wanna make a nice looking one.. =0)

ya i saw the cool shield of chan, cover the headlight plus extension shield rit? Actuali thought of doing tat if got no more choice liao..maybe if i can wil go on wkday to ur JB shop lor.. opp best world area near to the petrol kiosk rit? if i can get any i wil post on the net:) anyway I asking my jb frd see whether they can find shop who can do shield n best quality without crackin:)
