Ver S and VTEC issue has been discussed only about a gazillion times. Although the Ver S sounds more garang, once the VTEC kicks in, we'd prolly smell smoke. Or they'd prolly say, its the rider and not the bike.

Anyways, yeah my mech is like that. thats why some customers like to hang out at his place even nothing to repair. Like me~

Vtec opens that last valve just for performance. But non vtec already opens all. its like called RAW POWER. In terms of pickup vtec can win due to Vtec. but long distance, we all same speed. so whats the diff?

 

Somemore, non vtec fuel is more efficient than vtec. as what I know. but expect the problems lah like leak la,crack la...old bike mah.

Sound logical to me...though there is no written b/w from manufacturer that claim this.

 

Vtec was impletemented (as I understand) for day to day commuting for improve FC yet when you need that sudden acceleration..it does not compromise and still provide you that rush hour speed you need.

 

One thing though..sound like a bit extra hardware, firmware and electronic in a vetec..I guess its easier to troubleshoot a non vtec and less prone to problem.

 

Now that Revo is here with EFI and its ECU..I guess FC wil be much better and more precise in doing so...but just don't spoil la..its $$$$s stress when there is failure.

I thought non Vtec don't have to waste those precious few split seconds switch in all valves to become non vtec leh..by then vtec 6-6.5 power band comes in, non vtec would olehdee be two to three bike length ahead over its 7.5 power band point where its 42 teeth pull just great. Anyway...you are right lah..its the RDIER ALWAYS

I doubt there's anything wrong. As long as the radiator is too hot, the fan will start automatically to dissipate the heat. I would be more worried if the fan does NOT start.

 

But it would be good practise to change the coolant if you haven't done so for some time.

thanks. went to unique motorsports last nite to change the coolant. the previous owner didnt change his coolant for a long time i think. the colour was funny dull orange. did a flush and changed to engine ice.

 

anyway, found out my bike has other problems to take care of. told them of my front brake feeling non consistant. they checked and commented dat my brake pump might be spoilt. 150 to change TT_TT another 150 to change to HEL brake hose. dunno if i can get a working brake pump at any scrapeyard or not? anyone organising a scrapeyard outing anytime soon?
