Ermm, this may also be due to a faulty speedo cable connected to the front wheel. Cos I had the same problem but it was found that my cable was old and just needed a long awaited change. Btw i'm riding a verS and it's a super old bike.

Provided its a non Vtec..that's why I asked what version of S4 he's riding.

Sorry for the late reply.

I am riding SPEC3 (5 years bike).

Believe ur speedomenter is electrically operated and thus a sensor wif circuit board is used..likely in the meter housing itself. In ur case since its kind of a random problem..could be bad contact..connection wise. I heard of ppl changing the speedo sensor b4. Could be just a magnetic pickup small device.

A new block would cost $1.6K + with gaurantee...second hand block 900+ without gaurantee. The best and cheapest way to go though as a temporary solution but can be permernant is by using coolant sealant patch. Need help..pm me.

There are a couple of reviews here about the shinko verge radials. Seems like its a pretty good buy if ur on tight budget.

hi guys, im riding a spec2, dont mind me ask a question here

just now while riding at 50km/h and slowing to a stop at red light, i heard a rather loud pop (first time i hear this sound). after that,

- exhaust sound became different, sounds deeper and more bass.

- loss of power/torque, pickup become strange and weak

- exhaust gas smells different

- idle rpm (engine is still hot) fluctuated irregularly between 1200 to below 1000, on the verge of stalling

- moving off caused bike stall due to weak rpm, had to open throttle more than normal to prevent this.

i opened up to check coolant reservoir, found it's empty. could it be some kind of heating problem? could be magneto coil going soon?

anyone experienced something like this? sad gonna go visit planet tomorrow. i'll update the solution here

Generally average at about $250 for tail board, side covers, fenders and tank mostly everywhere. Important think is that the paint work must be reason solid at least with two layers and good acrylic finished. There are shops that does it for $150-$180 but shack.

thanks for the estimate price range.

Ah Pek, what you think about silverwing? worth changing?

Can still use your engine oil hahaa?

Though I do not know how it's owning one but I should think it's okay lah afterall its up to each rider uses and ride preference. As for eo..can be use with any bikes or cars.

Actually bike's COE not as bad as cars so buying a new bike or a second hand one still depends on your personal budget and how you can pay off the bike per month. I have been riding my super 4 verS for nearly 3 years now and have been constantly fixing broken parts as i've seen it as a cheaper way then buying a new bike . Maybe in 2 years time when i get promoted from my current job then may consider buying a new bike or get a 2nd hand class 2.
