Wow, ah pek, u really supergdman!!!

Today just went to bike shop, the mech told me the same things,

At first he tested and ground the themoswitch,

The fan works!!! The mech said if yr coolent system is gd,

The fan v difficult to 'ON'.....

Ah peh, how m I going to test whether the thermostats is working? Just now in a rush to go Wk, forget to ask e mech,

Till I ride hf way then think back...

Bro Shahrul, tks for yr advise also,

I smoke two stick of mentol, but the fan still didn't 'on',

Tat's y today go bike shop lo. I also wan to hire ah Pek to b my

Right hand man le, see who strike first. Lol.

Never turn "ON" is usally good..shows ur coolanr system is super cooling ur engine block well without movement...on the other hand..ur radiator fan switch may be screwed liao and matter of ti,e..u get into overheating problems. Just ground the fan switch and on your igintion switch..the fan should turn..if not..change it.

"Themoswitch"???..that's not what it's call..it's the "Radiator Fan Switch". As for thermostat..there is no way unless u open up the casing (after which gasket has to be replace) and see it. If its all rusty..replace it about $60 or so. Some people just throw it away without replacing..u decide.

Oh tks for correcting me. I goodoooo goodooo.

Yup the fan switch ground n the fan start to move,

But how do I knw the fan will start 'on' by certain temp 75C to 100C...

Cos I start my engine n waited for 10mins...

Then fan still not moving.... But went grounded, got mov le.

Any other way to test the fan sensor whether working?

The switch works at 102 degree Celsius. 112 degree..ur temp light would come on.

Why didn't u asked the mech at the shop? Its under the left tank side..have to take off tank to see..u can only see a cyclinder thing with two to three rubber hose attach to it. If u wanna see the fan turn, let ur bike idle for 20 mins...under hot sun 15 mins.

Yes, maybe sholud try bike idle for 20min and see for once if indeed my fan is working... just for a peace of mind... forgot to ask the mechanic check last time, cos after changing my fork metal pole (i dunno whats its called) which cost a bomb!!!, i straight away forgot to ask abt the fan.. i pent close to nearly $600 replacing the fork seal, fork oil and the new fork metal pole.. faint!!!.. but i intend to keep this bike for a long time, so i felt that its a worthwhile investment i guess....

Check fuel switch? Tried push starting? Probably your battery needs charging.

Hi,

Thank you for your help

there is sufficient fuel in the tank. i will probably try if it helps by push starting. by the way, may I check how I can use the choke and if it can help to start the bike in this case ?

Pull the choke all the way out and press the start button. After a few crank and still don't start then try push start.

Your battery is flat or weak in holding charge for less than a week. Try push starting it in second gear and when the engine fires up..don't shut...go for a long ride to chatge up the battery. Anyway..it's tell tale sign that ur battery life span is up.

Go around until engine very hot again...this time don't touch plug area lah...touch the header one ata time..likely one of them is only warm or not so hot. When was the last time u change spark plug and what version of S4 are u riding?

The metal pole u are talking about is call the "stanchion Tube" or upper fork tubing. One piece is about $230 or less. Changing fork seal, service and fork oil replace is only$90 and changing the tube labor is along the way..to me..u kenna chopped like Tau_Foo olehdee...sighhh!

Last time was end feb...

Only one month plus down again?

I am riding project big....

Hope is the plug tat cause it no power :(

The day before ytd ride around a lot...

But v smooth and no such symptom....

Only today ride again like totally no power....

Will it be plug failure ?

Currently I m using normal plug...

If it's plug failure, shall I changed to

iridium? Cos seems like iridium is under use for proj big...

Correct me if I m wrong...

May be may be not. Take off each of the spark plug caps and see if tehre is water trapped inside. If so...put a cloth inside and dry it. Its unlikely the plug itself that gives problem as u just change a month ago...but have u done the header check test?
