I did the swap from the K3 1000 fork to the the Busa Gen2 forks today!!! No more "Red Bull cans" as spacer. I use the Bottom triple clamp too as it is much beefier than the Gen1's. Here's some pic that I manage to take... ( Sorry these are the only I have... Hands dirty lah from DIYing alone)

To those who wish to convert to radial brakes for better braking, I strongly recommend the Busa Gen2 forks WITH the Gen2 bottom triple clamp. Simple plug and play swap.

man, you really power lah! :thumb:for your forks

Bro, I'm using a pair of carbon yoshi tri-over...looks nice but not very loud....you can try GPR if want a loud exhaust note but GPR got fitment problems sometimes...i think best is buy 2nd hand ones....cheap and good...

First of all, the Busa have a restriction at the 1st 3 gears, same goes to 600 and 750. What they do is retard the ignition timing. So your pick up is slowed down due to a less efficient combustion and more hesitation to built up rpm. Remember, higher rpm give you more torque and HP. Next is the heavier weight. All at the busa disadvantage. 1000cc usually have no restriction at the low end, so generally with the same throttle effort, the 1000cc will built up rpm faster. Generally you will feel it is quicker.

Give you an idea of how slow a busa can be. With the same amount of throttle, by the time you hit 6th gear, you may only reach 80kph. But for a 1000cc, can be easily over 100kph. Of course you can counter this problem by throttling more. But keep in mind, i'm just talking about normal pick up throttling in Singapore. Not WOT.

But busa is not neccassary slower than a 1000cc. It just that it only have a slow start. It will catch up when it RPM rises.

sorry correct me if i am wrong. from what i understand there is restriction on the 1st 3 gears for gen1 but for gen 2 there is not restriction on the 1st 3 gear so a tre is useless on a gen 2 other than to delimit the 6th gear top speed rpm by fooling the ecu it is in 5th gear. and if you are tuning your bikes with many mods the tre will screw up your tuning as it will be in 5th gear mapping all the time (different gear have different fueling maps). thats why most drag racers dont use a tre. :thumb:

No need for correction, my information might not be correct as well. Too much pages on the ecu hack thread. Yes, Gen1 and Gen2 restriction is indeed different. Gen2 restriction is harder to fully unlock. By using 5th gear TRE, you can only unlock the top speed limiter but you won't enjoy the most advanced timing of the 6th gear. By using 6th gear TRE, you will enjoy the most advanced ign timing at all gear/throttle position but you will not unlock the top speed limiter. And by using TRE, you will lock the mapping and ign timing to a fixed gear which is not suitable for the other gears. Usually it means running way rich on the lower gears and rpm range. And also the gen2 ignition timing restriction is more on the low throttle position range, maybe

Anyway I just throttle more bah. Not very interested in the top speed limiter also. The stock busa can already clear meter with 500rpm more to redline. Which after calculation is around 310kph on meter?
