hi,

i would liek to ask if the fellow busa riders face with the cam chain tensioner problem after the 01 -models??from what i noe the cct is auto lube after the 01 models but would the problem occur again?i am riding a k2 busa with 16k on the odometer and whenever in the morning i warm up mine bike, there will be a tickling sound coming out from mine right hand side for abt 1 min or 2,it will go off subsequently. i call up guan hoe and bring my bike down to let mr han to check it out.i waited quite a while to let it be cool and restart again the the sound came out again..he said mine cct was spoil and needed to be change to avoid further damage to mine timing chain ..it cost $280 as mine budget was tight i decided to further check it out from other riders if they face the same problem as i do... be4 i rode a k2 busa, i was riding a new k3 busa with the same tickling sound on the right hand side with less than 10 k on the odometer be4 i sold it away..funny y onli busa wif this problem and not the gixer.......

brother,

for the cct, its a auto lube and auto tensioner.

it is a wear and tear thingy.usually spoilts faster when u dun warm up ur bike proper untill it reach its ideal temperature or when u ride hard before it it reach ideal temp....sometimes it is caused by too high engine brake when u drop two gears or so in high speed...sometimes it is caused by being in the wrong gear(low speed high gear).

280 bucks just for the cct or includes work manship...from what i know u can get aftermarket cct from Yoshimura.i hear that it is lighter in weight and atougher material thus can last longer too...

cheers

It could be due to your type of engine oil used. Do you know what rate of engine oil you are using? 15-50W being semi synthetic is slightly noisier at startup as it's thicker & takes a longer time to run up the engine. Especially if you don't ride your bike as frequent, just like me.

But 15-50W is very good for our gear shifts even after about 3k worth of mileage. I'm using 10-50W cos I'm very particular about engine noise. Gear change wise, by about 2k. you will find the slight tightness.

From what I know '01 model do not have the tensioner problem. So I gathered that it might be the oil. Hope it helps.

Good Luck!

Yo, shoei.. that chain oiler, they use what oil? 4T Engine oil? Will clumsy dirt fly up to the bike's body after it self lubricate? How much you did it for your Suzuki?

What orange in his bike huh? Tell la tell la

yeah hi to all,

i dun tink is the problem wif the engine oil,coz the tickling sound appears quite sometimes ago liao,im now using motorex 15w-50 fs,i tried be4 castrol superbike, motul both ester and competition the sound still there...puzzling me was that my previous k3 busa also have had the same tickling sound wif mileage less than 10k on it after hard breaking in it wif mineral oil.The agent told me that the sound would onli occur when its cold for about 1 min or 2 and it will be gone when the engine is warm up. i ever heard of the manual cct but had bad feedbacks from other overseas busa forms that would cause the cct to snap and cause further damages to the engine..what oil u guys normally use?fully or semi sythethic?
