seriously it is really a very very bad idea to ride a bike wearing a skirt ....

the risk surpasses the convenence !!!

one fall is all it takes to scar a beautiful pair of legs forever !!!

Most females in bigger countries will take the trouble to wear thick protective wear like jeans or leather pants, yes, the weather makes a difference , but i think they have better safety awareness .

ladies , think again the next time u decide to mount a bike, regardless if it is only a short distance .... the stakes are just too high .... [/b][/b]

I agree...it holds true for guys too. Its not about aesthetics (I know pple say they dun mind having scars on their legs)...its about safety. Although Sg weather is really a b*tch to ride in.

But anyway, we went off topic =)

Ok, so I've got a 2A license.

I'm gonna check out Burgman 400 or Gilera Runner.

Thanks for all your feedback.

FYI:

If I were to wear pants and put on my skirt when I arrive at work, I might as well just wear pants right?

Oh, I've never had my skirt flying up and exposing anything...

Never... and can never happen.... :)

I've also had my fair share of accidents, while wearing jeans, jacket and shoes.

I suffered multiple bruises on my knees, upper body and arms.

So stop advising me with the scarring part..... I know!

And finally I ain't looking for which bike is "NICER" to ride in a skirt.

I'm looking for which bikes are "comfortable" as the FINO to ride in while wearing a skirt!

just do the way you are comfortable with la.

Fino will work fine. I'm asking if you have Class 2A and above 'cos some girls stop at Class 2B. Not surprising 'cos Super 4 and bigger bikes are harder for them to handle, even in the circuit.

Hehe, Ridng with berms.

Self skidded when riding withy berms. skidded 1/2 bus stop length. Right on the day my daughter was born.

I can tell u it's no fun.

But still I still ride in berms even today

So you're also riding with a pinch of salt. Welcome to the club. Anyway, I skidded once over a metal cover when I was making a right turn in the rain. I managed to prevent the bike from slamming into the ground by slamming my foot down. Yeah, it hurts, but I'm ok and my bike's saved.

When I was taking classes I always kena bruises for the entire duration of the course, even though I was wearing kevlar jeans.

I do sit pillion in culottes (because I trust the rider) but ask me to trust myself and ride around in skirt? No thanks :)

But seriously, I wasn't asking for anyone's advise if I should be allowed to wear a skirt on a bike.

I've been riding to work in my skirt and its really no problem on a Fino. Underneath the skirt, I put on short tights, so what miao, miao! haha.

So if you have an opinion against me in my skirt riding on a bike, keep it to yourself because I know the consequences which can lead from that.

What I really would like to ask if there are any other girls on different bikes comfortable enough to ride in a skirt.

As I've said, Fino is awesome, but really too slow!

You not only possess class2B but also character! :)

Surely you are not dumb and you know the consequences for fashion over safety gears.

Anyway, IMHO....so long you looks good on the road and people turn and take a glance at you.....there's no other problems already isnt it? hehe

Since you are at disadvantage by not putting on safety gears, I assumed that you are in defensive riding mode :)

Ah, this is an interesting thread, quite amusing even, I had some laughs. So many advice about safety that aren't to be taken lightly but yet they totally misses the point! To think of it, I've rarely seen anybody wearing full armour or even bothered with gloves and riding boots to ride around. Hey, even the macdonalds delivery guy are only clothed in cloth!

Well, I believed that all of us have the right to choice and that you are matured enough to think and act in your best interest. So I would't dispense any safety advice here except safety is always the primary concern ya?

Anyway, any preference for types of bikes? Few whom I know have no problems riding a S4, Phantom and FZ6. I guess that, having a windshield will lessen the chances of your skirt to float and that a slightly forward riding style helps too.

Oh, I guess, wearing a stiffer skirt will helps too!

I'm a Tutor! Proud to be one!

its uncommon to see a lady in a skirt on any bike that has a fuel tank in front. if u're going for a pencil skirt then anything with a "wind guard" should suffice, think scooter or cub w/o a basket? Also, it would strongly depend on how tall u are.

faster scooters are always an option depending on how much u're willing to spend. Fastest scooters i've seen on the road are silverwings and nexus, they've got power on the acceleration and a good top speed at 140kmh EASY! but stability is another thing altogether.... ;)

neber follow her see show ah...

conferm can see sooner or later...

i tink in my area, girls in skirts are a common sight. i got 4 neighbour girls riding wave, s4, and one class2 bike. i dunoe what model.. hehe...

n they all wear skirts?

i want to hang out around ur area sia

but seriously la skirt is nt a gd idea. conferm zaogeng one cause the bike's petrol tank will pull the skirt higher than its supposed to be, and the wind will blow the skirt everywhere. very awkward.

but some girls get a kick out of zaogeng... well free show for the guys lor

or maybe they can wear shorts underneath or something la... i dunno

even then it doesnt look pleasant to catch a glimse of something one is not supposed to see

talking about berms, i very seldom ride my scram with berms, because of the position of the engine, the heat is all at the lower leg... when i ride with berms i will normally burn my leg at least once n after a while the heat gets unbearable

for street bike i think it is more possible to do that, but must be careful of the exhaust pipe when dismounting thats all

boring rider. with a boring bike.
