@S.m.H Wassup? Haha. Not fully recovered yet. GOnna take months before im gonna ride. Dad has always given me my choice. He's a rider so he understands. Born to live, live to ride. Hahha!

@fredeee The sticker thing, you can peel of from the normal p plate. Take out the white border thingy. Thats what i did. :)

oh no. you must have been too nervous.

nevermind lah, try again. you got 18pts, means the 2nd time sure pass. be patient ok.

thanks :) hope you enjoying your ride too!

knux...you know where i can buy the sticker type p plate?

has anyone ever kena caught not using p plate? haha.

i kena caught for .. tinted visor, number plate and "no rear pplate" but tadaa ! my pplate hiding at my rear hugger hee.. only kena warning.. luckily!

i dont recommend the sticker type of pplate though. u wanna paste it on the front right? coz it will stick and then after 1 year will be kinda hard to take off.. i juz cut off and put the 3M velcro and attach it together... it doesn't fly off.. only that my very nice friends will come and put my pplate upside down without me realizing it.. (= very hard to explain it here.. but .. oh well...

the sticker pplate eh.. juz peel it off from the 3M ones lor.. coz the sticker ones are usually not good quality.. will fade away after prolonged use ..

@fredeee

hey thanks bro, was supposed to be today, but my DRT lesson was kinda held back thus i didn't got a chance to book today's TP slot as the next effective TP slot is on the 11th of nov.. was soo close but yet soo far.. anyway i take this time to really learn from the other bro's/sis's mistakes , i really need all the luck/support i can get, and as for the bike, am aiming for a husky too, i dunnoe man, the rieju looks hella tempting man. haha

on a sidenote , any other bros/sis who took their TP today, has good news to share? =) how bout bro @Az_itsme?

my friend took TP, and he fail .. miserably ... kinda shocking though coz he was once an experienced rider..

heard many ppl blame the construction outside for failing .. issit?

hmm.. yeah doesn't really look like a scrambler.. but i was intending to get the motard..maybe its prevalent in all the new makes these days.. their "stock" looks kinda shitty.. for me looks are secondary, my greatest concern is the performance and maintenance..

may my success be replicated in two weeks .. only time will tell.. insyallah.. and how many points did you get this time? and what do you do for re-training?

amin (=

sometimes the instructor say 18 points but actual fact its not 18 points! aha like what happen to me during my 2a.. say 18 points but see my paper only 10 points... but heck! asalkan pass , i okay already ! ahaha

i reaaally don't know what happened to it luh. hahaha

Guys, TP test fail man. Got just nice, 18 points, but i made the dumbest mistake ever, which is - when the tester waved at me, i rode out, turn left, lost abit of balance, left leg touch the road. Immediate failure. Devastated man. :(

omg! i kena that b4! immediate failure - 'footed'

@cookiesandcream , i have a set of pplates that i found in my cupboard from 2 years ago ... i can give u if u want (=

sometimes your rear pplate can fly off.. not kidding ...

really? thanks thanks! but i really don't know when i can get from you?

now i ride also to places near my house only. scared get fined for putting only 1 p-plate. tsk.

@Wonderless, passed your RTT already?

yo what up! passed my RTT on 28! DRT would be on 29-30nov. i was damn lucky with the drt booking. cuz once i passed, i went to book for drt. but the system nv show the drt lessons for me to book. so i went to counter to ask why, den they say it will take 1 hour for the system to refresh. so i ask the counter person can manually help me refresh anot, den she okok help me book the earliest slot which is 29 - 30 nov. when i went home to check for drt slots bout 3 hrs later, there were no available classes till next year.. meaning till dec 31 no more available classes.

btw smh, great minds think alike. i bought my sp alr, under layup now under my carpark. hahah.

A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.

i wont dare go around w/o rear pplate - i'd rather spend my money, no matter how minimal it is, on other things than donate to tp! lol. they took alot of my $$ for my tests already. hahah

Anyway I am wondering - when I was still stuck with the pracs at CDC - @Shadowluva, @infinity, @alwayzhope, @arae136, @d3stiny - you were taking around the same time as me right? So i assume everyone is riding now? :)

today is the day i felt like i've already wasted my 33bucks on the pract7 before i started, instructor told us there is a new tp road route(should be effective from 1nov) during briefing. haha. the new exiting bus lines are really nonsense, he expects us to stop and give way even the bus is picking up passengers or still stationary haven't give signal&never move at all(ebrake meh before the line meh?!). omgosh one of my blacklisted instructor, i didn't make any immediate failure and checked all my blindspots and kept left. :(

but oh wells i must do better during monday at the new tp route then. pls take note for those going to have tp/pract8 soon, better go for road revision to clarify whether the change is going to affect u guys. :)

hi to all, i"m pretty new to this forum....:cheeky:

I have a query on HOW to make a correct u-turn on CDC test route...

i.e If the green light is On, how should I position the bike if I'm the 1st bike?

I'm thinking that i should slowly move foward into 45 degree right turn. Just in front of the stop line.

Since opposite is also a filter lane to right / u turn...I should be pretty save to move out???

Give way to straight moving vehicle... If clear check back left and proceed to turn...

Throttle at 1st gear (maintain 1/2 clutch), lean right and execute the turn.

Eyeline focus on 2nd lane. maint throttle till i move into the 2nd lane before

change to 2nd gear, rite???

Would anybody be kind enough to enlighten me...

Really appreciate the help i can get to position my bike correctly.....THKS in advance:cheeky:

Guys thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Hope will ace the next test on 25th Nov. It still gets to me that i made the dumbest mistake for having footed that caused my immediate failure despite getting 18 points. And those pompous attitudes of the TP Testers dont help much either. LOL

Nevertheless, thank you guys for your support! Lets go ride as a group sometime soon, hopefully!

hmm speculations, or actually MR norman who taught me DRT told us that there is gonna be changes to the system.. new test route, new criterias etc . actually i was quite astounded by the implementation of this, i was taking my road revision and as always, and apparently the instructor who was in charge of taking road revision students told me that i have to give way to buses , and i was like err previously i didn't have to worry about this.. and he says that if we don't give way to them we can get a summon of 100+ -.- maybe its his idea of a joke? but he looked serious when he conveyed that message..

if i'm not wrong, check back LEFT applies when u are forming up to wait for your turn to u-turn.

before making the turn is check back right i think. please clarify with the instructor. that would be the BEST clarification.

but always remember before moving off always check blindspot = check back right.

ahh ? dont give way to bus = summon 100+? serious ?? eeeee... so BS ..

if dont give way to bus in bus lane at bus lane hours, that one is CONFIRM 100+. my friend kena, i nearly kena but heng never get letter (coz traffic heavy and i cut into bus lane wanna make left turn.. phew!)

but either way , i wont wanna be in front or at the back of a bus la. coz i kiss bus i lose, bus kiss me also i lose.

before forming up one row (for u-turn) lets say there's an obstruction that hinders you from going into the right lane.. so you have to form up two rows right.. so its right, left vice versa.. for that before moving off is actually check away from the kerb or check "inside".. right bike check left, left bike check right..

aiyooo....you guys...we pay for lessons and also for the instructors' time, try n ask n ask n ask until instructor faint if there's anything you are not clear about. it's not their fault if you act tough or act cool n pretend to have no questions for them during briefing.

stupid new bus lane rules. if buses can be much faster now, maybe i should give up riding and take bus.

but i dun think the new rules have come to ubi yet.

all the best to those who need to adapt to new test route at the very last stage!

for u-turn..

when forming up 2 rows just before u enter the right turn lane, check inwards, i.e. look at each other (the bike next to u)

when u are 1st bike before stop line, check left n inch out on green light,

align bike almost perpendicular to road divider (try..) or have it facing the trafficlight post diagonally across the road,

when traffic is clear on opp direction/ on green arrow, check right and proceed to u-turn,

for 2nd bike, check left n move off, check right when u are perpendicular to road divider just before turning.

If I recall they have bus lanes around Eunos link.. Do you mean to tell me the new test route takes you out there? Went for Class 3 Lesson during the 4:25pm slot and traffic was so damn heavy until change lane is almost impossible
