Hmm, not really la

Heard from many S4 friends that it's not really good for cornering. Due to the design etc. the front just wants to go down further and it's not that stable in corners compared to sportybikes

But plus point is that it is comfy and has a box~ And great pickup!

Den how come my fren corner his s4 as well he corner his k4 1000? hmm..

Which spare parts more ex I dont know. Bcos I dont own them.

But both are inverted fork, so front fork are both more ex than other bike's fork which are normal fork. RVF is relatively newer bike, hence should have less leaking problem and G4 is older, so the chance of front fork leaking is very much higher and its one of the common problem of gsx400. Rear suspension of gsx400 is also a common problem. I see so many gsx400, out of those majority need to change front fork seal and oil(abt below 100) and rear suspension(400+). Got some gsx400 worst, the front fork bend le, need to change the whole fork costing 1000+.

I just know that RVF need better engine oil and plugs than G4 bcos G4 is older bike just use normal semi synthetic oil can already. But RVF each plug cost 10+ bucks and engine oil is better to use fully synthetic one. Thats the advice I got when I considered RVF last time. My blackbird frens who own rvf b4 told me rvf engine oil, plugs maintenance is higher than normal 400cc bike.

For the handlebar, rims, saitao, I dun know which is more ex, but higher chance gsx need to change bcos its a older bike somemore rvf is a honda bike and younger in age.

:btw: dont consider too much on the exterior. Most importantly is the engine. Restoring a bike engine is no joke. Can cost u a bomb.

bollocks, you obviously do not really know what you are talking about.

For one, if you dont know prices, dont throw them around. A brand new gsx fork is only 330 dollars, you can get extremely decent 2nd hand forks for around that price too.

And inverted forks are no more troublesome then normal forks, its just that with inverted fork u wont know when it leaks as its still housed in the well while the inverted forks just leaks and leaks until the oil is gone.

Things done so far:

Brand new rear suspension, new rubbers in carbs, serviced carbs, double bubble windscreen, voltmeter, Pilot Sport tyres, Did o ring + VAZ sprokets, front brake pump, gaskets + waterpump oil seal, Maxima CoolAid, 2nd hand rear hugger, 2nd hand front brake disc, Fizz Power brake pads front and back, 2nd hand front and back rims, Yusa battery, Reconditioned 2nd hand carbs by Planet, Front sticker number plate, front wheel bearings, new clutch plates, fortuna paintwork sponsored by spastic driver, Keitin tank pad.

Need sugar mommy for : Hel brake lines and top end overhaul.

yes this is a never ending issue.

all bikes are good.

the ones that are not good are mostly in the scrapyard. coz they can't be used already.

to all bros

the summary to this topic........all bikes have their strength likewise weakness.....therefore, its best the topic starter give himself a period of time to check those bikes he prefer the outlook, wear & tear, power, cornering etc

On top of that, best if he could actualli have frends who have good condition models to do selection to test ride. whats the point of top speed if u prefer pick up? whats the point of stability wise when he prefer good cornering>

And in sg, if u need parts dun say they are hard to come by, go out there & know pple, be diplomatic, im sure you will be able to find the right pple whom can help.....if not u can always go for overseas websites to order or even ebAY.......enuff said i rest my case & u decide.....cos you are the living passion for the bike.....the bike needs the owner to break timings or records...it doesnt do anything even the bike has all race parts.......

For eg, since im on a pgm for ard 4yearsplus.....pple always tell me parts hard to find, expensive etc. bikeshops always say hard to do, expensive......come on.........ever since i found my supplier....2nd hand or 1st hand isnt a real prob......just tat for pgm if your riding style the fast throttle devils then its realli sad cos the bike die out faster.........oh yah, dun read too much into pple's presentation of the truth rather than the real thing...its only you who can survive thru time being a living legend!!!:thumb:

I hope that by saying all this, pple knw tat theres no prob bike...only age & rider's style that kills it slowly....or fast........
