Check with the 2012/2013 ZZR1400 guys, is there a constant metal ticking sound from the engine? It is abit annoying to me.

Check for leakage on the top gasket. Kawasaki known to have loose top gasket, seen several case of leakage already. In the meantime have all your major bolts tighten and re torque... Cheers.

My bike has the sound since day 1. I got the bike brand new. No sign of leakage. It actually like a light ticking sound. I suspect it from the cam tensioner. My previous busa also have noisy engine. But not this ticking sound

Bring it to your trusted mechanic to check it out. No harm checking the cause of the problem.

I don't hear any unusual sound coming from my ZZR, should go back where you got it and let them check it out bro

Erm. Mine a import set. So no point go back to the shop. Anyway the sound is not really very unusual. I think it from the cam chain tensioner. The ticking will tick faster as I accelerate. Anyway my usual bike repair shop also says seems normal. Tks anyway. Cheers

Cheers. FYI rides from the so call agent evershit also not exactly good. Warranty for 6 months something like this. As I've always tell my friends getting a Kawasaki don't bother getting the agent ride.
