for bike cover, go LAB to buy those $10-15 ones.. they will give you the proper size..

for anti-theft, get the Xena alarm disc lock at UNique for $60.. very good and loud..

if you dropby Unique, you can also check if there's any bike cover for sale, i remember seeing some..

buy the TT case savers then go sticker shop to paste transparent blue on it..

polish the case savers before you stick them on for shiny blue effect..

TT case savers uses better alu than locally made ones..

Thanks kmax for posting the link..

What tyres are those?? seems good for offroads. a cheaper alternative rather than getting an offroad wheelsets to go offroad. well, for riders whom go offroad juz for the fun of it. coz ive been going offroad on pilot powers and power ones.. traction sucks.haha

Just to share the tyre models:

front - dunlop k560 120/90 (higher profile needs getting used to though)

rear - avon distanzia 150/60

Would have loved to get a complete set but stocks were unavailable for a full pairing (dunlop rear/front or distanzia rear/front) at that time..so this would have to make do to overcome offroad 'itchiness'..sourcing for an offroad in the meantime so this will do!

Anyone wants to do a swap let me know cos i think i'll just give in to get an offroad wheelset..

DRZ E model, COE ending this year going around +5k

add 2400$ COE, so you got 7k+

but DRZ E comes with offroad wheelset, not motard.

At 1st I also have the same thinking as you,

Get a drzsm with safari tank to go tour...

Few things turn me off when spoke to a few of my friends riding drzsm

1.comfort speed at 5th gear-110km-120km(subject to change due to bigger tank and luggage and rider weight)

2.I got a big butt and the seat fits my cracklines...lol

3.solo rider is ok,if wanna to pillion, make sure the measurement is 38-22-24:)

4.drzsm is running on tube so any puncture, you know the drill.

Is a good bike which I would like to own maybe a few more years later.

Happy shopping.

Safari 17L enough.. 28L too heavy..

if wanna travel at 120kph for cruising, needa down size the rear spocket to maybe 38T?

got comfort seat but very expensive..

can change/convert to tubeless mah.. but go offroad got tear then gg..

Yes,agreed.

DRZ cant handle these speeds..

120kph with big tank and rear box should be ok..

else i travel at 100kph on NSHW..

it's not impossible, but i dun think anyone would be able to handle the vibrations at that speeds for prolonged periods..

I travel 80kph on expressways in SG..

100kph on NSHW..

I also feel drzsm is best to travel 100-105km/h for touring...

Seat too ex....

Rims lagi ex.......

I'm just a poor tourer.

DRZ can tour.. even KSR 110 also can tour.. its all depends on rider.. not me though, too pampered on TDM.. 1 day ride to Penggerang then butt numb and hands cant take it..

agree with Biting point... high speed on thumper is not good for bike and rider..

my comfort speed in singapore is 80~90, malaysia 100~110...

yes, biting_point mentioned in the above earlier post that can use smaller sized rear sprocket, can down to R38 teeth for a start.

Ones_Co will be always remembered.. God Speed..

Seriously, if you need a bike can handle NSHW cruising at higher speeds, DRZ is definitely not the bike..

down sizing the spockets will not reduce much vibrations, just loads the engine lesser..

100kph at road shoulder is consider fast.. 100kph at any of the 2 lanes or 3 lanes on NSHW is slow..

Posted

oo ok..cos i used bike on highway before and especially on the strectch that leads to KL is 3 lanes and the lorries all passing me by at 100 plus kph, u know la malaysia no law wan wat...find that experience abit scary..

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...
