Last sat, i juz got my CBR.. was goin home, travelling along kaki bukit viaduct after servicing my bike at bikeworkz. while travelling along the bedok north road towards Kaki bukit viaduct, a car speedin very fast and tailgated me from behind. i turned around and glanced bk at him and i pick up my speed and moved into the inner lane to let that car pass, to my surprise, that car followed suit! he was just haressing me, and tailgated me even closer! at the distance of juz half a bike length at 80kmph. so i have no choice but to speed up. and i squeezed my throttle to a speed of about 120kmph managed to get away from that car at quite a safe distance, saw a TP waved at me, tot he was helping me and noticed that a car was tailgating all the way. Guess what! he summoned me for speeding and dont even care to help me and he told me the system captured me and not that driver. the tp is juz focusing on my bike and did not even take a notice about that car! I explained to him my situation and he just give me that heck care look.. i tot i saw a guardian angel on the road... my foot.. 12 demerit points! Any advise on wat should i do?

Max speed is 90km/hr, even if you speed up to overtake, distance yourself...etc it itself is an offence already when you exceed that limit.

I sympathise your predicament. See what I do with my bike in my signature. If you are really sure you were forced to speed., pay the fine, accept the deductions and then STOMP it. Justice does not come with integrity everytime, sadly, it comes always with intelligence and how you work your way through the circumstances.

If he continued to tail gate you, slowly slow down until he pek chek and he will overtake you. Usually these kind of driver cannot take VERY slow speed one.

Write to TP telling them why you sped up. And if their replies are not favourable, you always have STOMP to turn to. Justice help those who know how to deal with the situation. Not those who are right.

This i agree, that kuku is a speed freak, thinking he is king of the road. I access the car, if i can jiak, normally i play a little by slowing down and let him pass, after passing i end up tail gate him and push his car to the limit, hopefully until his pistons shoot off the casket!!! Only then that kuku will know his car is no match for my bike and gets humiliated, go break his bank and buy a ferrari lor, cock.

 

But dont try this if his car is more powerful than your bike, just let the idiot pass.

If there is no traffic, i go to leftmost lane and go veryyyyyy slow.

 

If there is traffic, i will between two cars and see whether he dare to squeeze between us or not. He is at the risk of pissing two more vehicles off.

For me, i will find solace between cars.

if there are cars ard i think you would have no prob. I guess your scenario is empty road. So ya i think slow till 20kph i think he will definately horn you and overtake you. No need to go until 120kph. Then if he rear end you then ho sei liao make sure you knw how to fall and get ready to get a brand new Honda CBR.....

TP is correct to fine u... nobody said u can speed up to 120km/hr when someone tailgate u...

using " oh someone tailgate me so i speed lo" its only an excuse we use when speeding isint it not?

and like some others said, if the bugger keep tailgate u just slow down til 20km/hr.. if he bent on distrubing u then stop and follow him back home then whack him after leaving carpark lo. so u wont kanna road rage

... well... i got nothing good to say. So let's keep it at that.

 

Next time, if you get a tailgater like that.... check the next lane clear, then you do an abrupt lane change and brake. Let him overshoot you. Then it's up to you whether you want to let him go or you can high beam the ******* all the way.

 

As for your summons. Write in an appeal, stating the incident, the TP's name. Include your MP into the letter. Include the newspapers like ST, TNP, cc them all in. And link it to SBF too.

If anyone can plead on your behalf, it's the MP. You can STOMP it too, though that place is pretty pointless 'cos it's full of idiots posting trivial bao toh kia crap anyway. But you might hear public opinion on our TP's "system". Where tailgaters can bully others into getting a ticket.

 

Ultimately, if they can't protect us, it might mean that one day street justice might take over.... who knows?

my style, never let a tailgater pass, stay consistent in ur lane, keep a looong distance with the front vehicle. if the front brake, tap brake slowly to stop, drag ur braking distance as long as possible.

 

what that guy will do: cut ur blind spot n overtake u. that's when u have to stay ur ground n aware, let him pass if he's trying to knock u, u're a bike can squeeze anytime. after he pass, horn, i say NEVER try to overtake him or tailgate him. if he block ur way, just follow him, he'll be bored n take off.

 

edit: u want style or revenge for a tailgater, keep some small object handy, see a tailgater who's bullying u, pick up to max speed, throw the object, guess what happen next.

I've done this once to a Silver Arrow cab when I was still riding my R1. Checked rear clear (we were already faster than most traffic), swung out 2 lanes, hit the brakes hard and got in behind him. But I chose not to high beam. I just exitted the expressway instead since I was already near my destination anyway.

 

Anyway, if he hits the car ahead of you, so much the better. He pays for the damages.

In such road situation, dun let anger get the better of u.

If the guy is persistent, let him pass by slowing down.

If u have the time, follow him at a safe distance after he passes u. (U dunno how cock the driver is...)

When the driver knows ur following him, he goes thru all the mind games.

Never confront the person and/or use physical means as Road Rage is a high price to pay.

The mind games can torture the fellow for quite some time.

If the driver is female.... LOL... Just laugh it for cos she is just one of those 'generic' dumbass drivers.

What i did previously was i drop my speed from 90km/h till eventually till 30km/h and he finally pass me. As u can see there are moron everywhere just to tail gate u but too bad i am one too .

it's unlikely he'll slam, unless u tail ur front vehicle n he tail u. then if ur front jam brake, ur reaction fast enough to lane change, he might hit ur front. but then if u're the jam of the sandwitch, u're already in trouble.
